I bought this Redmi 2 yesterday, in previous firmware I found the proximity sensor worked by a half (while during call if you place your near the phone, the screen will turn off but not turn on again when far from ear). Updated to MIUI 6.6.8 still the same. I found in internet to do calibration sensor by turn off the device then hold volume up till appear menu test. I did the suggestion, calibrate sensor. Now the proximity sensor works normal again.

For heat, I don't find issue hear. So far work good.

    I can't use airtel 2g net on my redmi 2 grey..pls help me... Tell me how I use airtel 2g on my phone?

      Bought the Chinese varient with 1 gb ram and costed me 140 usd. Updated to miui 6.6.8.0 and its a absolute pleasure to use this handset.

      But one major bug still persists is bad voice clarity in call. Apart from this, this set worth every penny. Form BD.

        For those who has problem regarding battery issue or heating.Before complain Plz Update your Redmi2 software to latest MIUI 6.6.8.

            I bought this phone redmi 2 enhance 2 gb ram 16gb internal.. Absolutely awsome for low cost handphone. Totally recommended.

                k, 10 Sep 2015Switch to Vodafone You are right. I got 1.9 Mbps on vodafone 3g and so called superfast airtel network could give 2.77 Mbps on 4g.

                  k, 10 Sep 2015Switch to Vodafone Yes...Redmi has speed indicator on notification panel..to my surprise. I got 1.5 Mbps speed on Vodafone 3G...and the so called superfast Airtel 4G could give max 2.77 Mbps, yes average speed was 750 kbps on 4G.

                        suryansh, 10 Sep 2015It heats up quickly. Any body is facind same problem??Update your phone. Miui 6710 reduces heat considerably and makes it faster and more smoother.

                                  its so bad product...hanging problem, low battery backup, overheating, low quality speaker.........after buying this product.....i'ii never sujjest any body to buy it......

                                    I bought this phone 5 months back. It worked perfectly for 3 months. After that problems get started. Now battery backup is low and worse is that I can Recharge the phone only after switching off. The battery is not getting charged if the phone is switched on. Has any one facing same problem?
