Or
Rename the file with ES file explorer to .nomefia.For eg:File.mkv to File.nomedia...
To open this file Goto ES file explorer>Tap on file>Select type as Video...

Ordered one from Amazon and got it the very next day. Everything fine except:
1. Internet connectivity went off after a few hours, be it LTE, 2G and 3G connected. It wouldnt come on unless you rebooted or switched to aeroplane mode.
2. Voice calling command didnt work. It would select the contact but not call even if call icon was clicked.
Requested for replacement and Amazon is amazing in this regard. Collected the set the very next day and delivered within 5 days.
But the second set also had the same problem. Hence, requested Amazon again. They collected again but as per their policy there is one replacement allowed. Waiting for refund.

does this phone support VoLTE? Reliance Jio 4G list of phones contain Lenovo A6000plus which is having the same chipset as of redmi 2 prime. so anybody have idea about it?

Somu, 12 Jan 2016Hi..I have bought Redmi Prime note this week and am facing ... moreRegarding battery issues in any android phone, the first thing you should do is go to battery settings and check for an offender application. If the phone is overheating and battery is draining quickly then it is most likely an application/service that went berserk (preventing the phone to go into sleep states and often using lots of CPU). It happened to me in the past with Google Location Services, sometimes, when left on, they would burn the battery in 4 to 6 hours.
If the application is a non essential/system one try to uninstall and see if the battery problem is solved.

My redmi 2 prime mobile last 2 days automatically over heated and reduce the battery charging level. Less than half day fully battery is gone and mobile is switch off. Once again I charged my mobile from 100% then same problem continually. Please any one help me

Remove or rename .mkv files to .nomedia eg:video.mkv to video.nomedia with Es file explorer...
Because it has media server bug causing over heat...
Use developer mode and change background process limit to 1 or 2...
Goto security>permissions>autostart apps>disable all...
Install "360security" or "Greenify" and disable unwanted user and system apps running in background causing fast battery drain...
