SP, 07 Jan 2016is there a heating issue & battery drain fastely plz commentThere is a heating issue with the media server. U Will have to solve it yourself by pasting a " .nomedia " text file. Worked for me

it's been one week i got this phone through flipkart on 2nd jan2016.
great phone with low price nice ips display awsome cam quality great mui 7.1 update.... go for it through flipkart only.

When will redmi 2prime receive "LOLLIPOP" update..?
And when will the issue about "media server" be resolved which is draining the battery really fast!!

The 7.1.1 update had its pros and cons namely.
The calls get hung in between a call with the message displaying, unfortunately the app has speed, this did not happen on earlier versions.
Ram goes as low as 200 mb with only a few apps launched, earlier versions had had already 10-12 apps running in the background, still ram never went lower than 450 mb.
One good point : The guest mode I think did not have a lock earlier which it does now.

You should get the latest version of miui 7110. Just press uploader and use WiFi with OTA. simple
