I am looking to buy the redmi 2 prime. I will use is primarily for social media, music and occasional gaming. Is the sound output good? Will the phone heat up for the uses I mentioned? Also did it get a new update for MIUI 6?

Time & date appears in a different style/ font...
Lock screen is changed. Its on Android Kitkat. Not bad though.
Now, after update, the Lockscreen also shows music's album art, and 3 navigation keys, for apps other than default music app, like Maple Music player, VLC player, etc.
Within Camera, only icons have changed, functionally its the same.
Default music app is the same, no change.
Icons have changed, look smoother & new now.
5 new themes are there in the offline section now.
Notifications section has changed slightly, with option to hide app notifications. Their icons have changed too.
The update was showing 700~ MB but it completed earlier, I don't know why. My existing apps, games and content was not affected by the update. All was ok. The entire process took 10-15 minutes only.
No new app appeared after the update. All is ok otherwise.

Yash, 19 Nov 2015What about battery life of prime? Battery life is about 18-24 hours/ charge, with combined mixed usage including music, videos, apps, internet, little 2D gaming, etc.
I think its good enough for me.

SanDisk Ultra MicroSDXC 64 GB UHS-I Class 10 Memory Card 48 MB/s. And it came with an adaptor for the bigger SD slot.
And no, its not making my phone run slow at all. I don't find it slow anyhow. Gallery rarely gets a little slow, but I have a huge collection of wallpapers and images, that could be a reason.
As of now, I have about 24GB free memory on the card....
And the phone memory has only apps on it, so it still has 8GB free.
I suggest you go for this card. its fast enough, costs about Rs. 1765 on Amazon.
