Bought a Xiaomi Redmi 3 in China.
Phone is alright in China but whe I am home in the US it becomes very limited. All Apps are Chinese and it is next to impnossible to download western apps. If nevertheless you are successful in downloading Googleplay eventually you will wake up one morning with your western apps disabled automatically.
So don't expect a Xiaomi purchased in China to perform well outside of China.

Dont buy this phone, Laggy, Battery life not even 6 hours, here is why normal usage of social apps such as Wechat, Whatsapp, or Normal Internet browsing with no videos sets you at 5' hours top.
If you used for game or videos or even music plus social apps gets you top maybe 3 hours.
Gets over heated easily, blacks out, freezes on you at some points and dont even try to go out to another country with it for example Korea, Japan or Hongkong it wont recognize other Sim Cards even if the info says it does. Oh yes and WIFI not connecting at some times even free hotspots on those countries I mention before.
and I had it less than 4 months well cared original from Xiaomi Store, better buy another phone dont waste your money on this crap.
