I got it 2 days later in online Indonesia store with $155 or 2,1k rupiahs
futuristic design, good grip for my fingers although slippery
internet access is awesome both 1st n 2nd slot sim card. there aren't problem to uses both slot.
camera is enough to capture but isn't excellent if u want to get better quality go to another.
system is very satisfied. i try to play dargon Ball game n aspalt nitro with good display without hang or lag. back cover little warm when i play game n internet in the long time but i think it's normal for all gadget. I can see clear screen display under brightness sunlight. when i opened the box only 9.8 Gb rom available space it's because there is a lot of loading system from the original product.
55 % Battery is available after i played game n used internet access in 9 hours. there is fast charging with 2 hours in full charge.

xiaomi fans, 18 Feb 2016redmi 3, when u coming to Indonesia officially?? we love it... morebuy at the indonesia online store. u will get distributor guarantee in 12 month. i got it 1 day later about 2.1 k rupiahs or about $ 155 included tax fee. 1st sim card slot for internet access is very satisfied but i had little problem when i used 2nd sim card slot as internet default. it's may be hybrit system. any other redmier give me argument about 2nd slot sim card as internet default? or it's just for call n message only

Still, if you want Xiaomi phone, you have to be extra tough in waiting for them to come officially. As we know other than the brand itself, country like Indonesia has those elaborate rules for vendors to sell theor product in the country. That's why some vendors are taking that much time to come officially, also remember Zenfone series when it first come to Indonesia? Stocks were very limited and the price was insane, official and unofficial one. As for the specs, I believe it won't be that obsolete for the upcoming few months. As I read on some article in MWC 2016, still many mid-end smartphone still use 16GB ROM + 2GB RAM as their specs.

One of my friends, previously interested in Redmi3, finally bought Asus ZenPhone. Sure, we can buy Redmi3 in Indonesia if we want to.....alias unofficially imported from China. At a steep sale price of $175-180, it beats the whole reason why people should switch to Xiaomi .....pricing over quality. Even at such a steep price, buyers still have to take a lot of risks buying from an unknown stranger over the internet with questionable warranty. Usually buyers realize such transaction is purely based on luck ....llike a gamble in Vegas. Many people got duped buying a fake Xiaomi Mi4 last year, with only 1GB RAM of unknown chipset. That's the reason I refuse to buy from these unofficial sellers.

By the time it's released in your country, it's already an obsolete model anyway because all other brands might have released at least one competitng model at the same price . There is no point of waiting. Their price advantage is only valid if they release the phone on time. ....which, of course, they don't....except in their own home country, China.
