im still using redmi 4x(santoni) till today starting from its 1st release. everypart is still original including the battery. still capable on handling daily activities and light gaming.

currently on custom rom havoc Android 10 because MIUI decide to burn my phone (constantly at 41°C on battery &60°C on cpu), still couldn't find what causing it so I decided to move to custom rom.

i love its form factor due to my small hand, i kinda wish it to be smaller tho.

Still using this till now on android 10 via custom rom (pixel experience). Bought it in 2017 for ₹7500 ($100) and daily drived it till 2019 and now I'm using this as my secondary phone. Still can do zoom & Google meets on it. This is one of the best bang for buck purchase I've ever made in my life.

Anurag, 06 Jul 2021How to flash it?You have to unlock device, Then boot it into fastboot mode and flash custom recovery with ADB. Then install custom ROM via custom recovery.

This will break your warranty. And if you do this wrong your smarphone might turn into expensive brick.

I bought this phone in December 2017 and even after 3 years, it works perfectly. No issues ever had with this phone so far. Battery life is what stands out along with its unbeatable speakers.

Best phone i've ever had. Still use it in 2021 with no issues.
I already repaired a lot of phones and this one is hardwarewise just very easy and cheap to repair by youtube tutorials so you can keep it for many years.

                                      design and body:
it has a solid body like a brick. It is very stable and still light. i never used any protectors or cases. I broke the screen glass once back in 2019 but the screen was so easy and cheap to replace it on my own (not complicated like iphone screen replacement for example). I never worry about screen breaks again. The only minor issue i've noticed at my device is that i already replaced the charging port for 3 times in 4 years. My charging port became every time too loose by time for the micro usb cable to connect and charge properly. But still this port can be replaced easily within 5 minutes and a new charging port costs ~10 USD on ebay.

Battery: battery life is just amazing. 4100 mah for an 1280x720 IPS panel results for me in still having like 50 or 40% left when i go to sleep. Of course the battery looses capacity over time, but it can be replaced also very easy and for small money on our own. Running today already on the third battery and feels like day one.

Screen: i love the screen size of 5 inch, too bad manufacturers today are just building new phones for the needs of asian customers who like to have 6 inch or even bigger devices. The only thing i am a little missing in 2021 is an OLED display, but more than understandable of course that xiaomi used an IPS display in a 2017 low budget device.

Bought it on August 2017 and this phone still rocks , fits perfectly in my pocket, snappy ui , the battery still lasts 24 hr++ for normal usage ( not a mobile gamer ), and its been 3 and half years, it feels like going back to 2000s nokia era when phone lasts for years not months!, been looking a replacement for this brick but sad nowadays all phone companies seem only care making stupid huge mega gaming phone
