This will not effect the phone speed, the phone speed is depended on how much app u use, how much ram is free, and how much storage is free. This is why memory optimization is very important to control ram usage, and lower battery consumption.

In this phone every 10 seconds one notification "error in application" is popping up. I am not able to stop it. I have tried rebooting the phone too. Anyone else has faced this? And any solution for this issue?

Ahmed , 30 May 2018My battery drain fast after updating to android nougat.. Ca... moreOk, first of all, if u downloaded any other cleaner or battery saver app, u will have to delete it. After that, open the developer options in settings (press MIUI Version in about phone few times) then in the developer options, scroll down until the bottom, search for MEMORY OPTIMIZATION, make sure it is set to HIGH. Next, search for MIUI Optimization, turn it on, u will be requested to reboot ur phone but don't worry and please do, this is a very special feature for us Xiaomi users. Thank u.
