If i try... moreyou can check 'miui forum'...everything is explained there step by step...you can download the rom from their site and move it to the phone's internal memory and update it using 'updater app'. The full procedure is explained in the site.
make sure to back up every thing using 'local back up'

If you face problem of sending SMS from Jio, always check out the volte settings.It has to be enabled

The phobe runs smoother but the screen is less bright than before and battery drains faster than with MIUI 8/android 6... but well, still like the phone and it works perfectly. Good work from Xiaomi
