Guy, i accidently drop this phone at my bathroom, and my bathroom still have 3meter of water. I drop it for 5second. Since i realize i drop it, i faster to pick up my phone. And its still working. I think this phone really waterproof. Look like all review about waterproof redmi 5 plus is real. Sorry for my bad english. Ijust want to let you know my experience
