No updates from Xiaomi, shame on them BUT you can install LineageOS based on Android 10. It's a little difficult to do it, but it makes the phone so much faster. MIUI is slowing this phone down a lot.

Mine is still alive without having any problems!! Idk how that can. The only issue is that apps take time to launch and moreover I don't have storage enough anymore.
