What... morehardware vise they are not much different, but their user interface and design is, and it depends on what you like. the design of redmi 5 plus is very beautiful, with its thin bezel and 18:9 design looks so gorgeous.
for me the features of miui are far better than stock android.

Malaysia consumer buy Xiaomi for it's low price, if there price is similar to Huawei & Oppo, I doubt there would choose Xiaomi.
