AnonD-17461, 08 Feb 2018except for 18:9 , there is nothing to brag about this phone... moreWhen you put this phone on side by side comparison with Redmi Note 4, Youll realise only a couple of diffrences, i.e Build and 18:9 aspect ratio display, Except for that everything is same as Redmi Note 4.
Few more differences other than aesthetics and display are, in camera dept , that too in low light conditions, This is even worst than Redmi Note 4, Redmi Note 4 has f2.0 aperture vs f2.2 aperture in Redmi 5 plus, Even in endurance rating Redmi Note 4 has performed better cos its runs with 4100 mah Vs 4000 mah in Redmi 5 plus , Also Redmi 5 plus has slightly more pixels to handle so it has lesser battery backup than Note 4
if you are on a tight budget, Get Redmi Note 4 itself.
But if you care about build and 18:9, willing to shell 2K more , then get Redmi 5 plus itself, Since it will be on flash sale in india, You wont be getting any discount atleast for next few months. Whereas Note 4 64 GB was already selling at 10K on festival sales.

1- its 1 year newer
2- design is much more beautiful
3- brighter screen
4- better camera
and the price is only 10$ more. no big deal

If you don't care about 18:9 display and wanna save your money, Get a Redmi note 4 64GB on sale for 10K or Mi A1 if you want pure android experience.

Anonymous, 02 Feb 2018please does it play gta san andreas and 14 without glitches?Its a mid-ranger spec so it will drop frames more frequently compared to high-end devices (Samsung s8+,one plus 5t, LG v30 etc.) but considering the price its actually a decent phone. I ordered the phone online haven't arrived yet, I'll post my observation with it when it comes.

Anonymous, 04 Feb 2018Go for the honor 7x. Much better device overall. redmi 5 plus has a more powerful processor and GPU. Just because honor 7x has better camera does not mean it's better than this phone, the price also justifies it's shortcomings anyway.

edy, 07 Feb 2018from where to buy official global virgin?unfortunately you may not be able to buy this phone with official global rom right now, currently all the sellers selling this phone saying its with global rom, but its not. its modified rom. the reason is xiaomi has not started selling this phone with official global rom yet, so you have to wait a bit more, if you buy now you need to flash the global rom. but you need to have some basic knowledge of flashing. 14 Feb this phone will be launched in india and probably other countries, then you can buy the phone with global rom
