truly disappointing to see older specs specially the processor and the camera . i am not going buy this . if Xiaomi continues doing this i will switch to huawei or meizue if they full fill my satisfaction

first time i see alot of advertising from xiaomi
for these two models
because they are low-midrange phones with chipset with two years old
even indian mobile manufacturer or chinese cheap brands in the end of 2017 did not use SD625

amrmovie, 26 Dec 2017did you use both mobiles ?Normally I never use mobiles from Xiaomi. Only Moto, HTC and Huawei. Sometimes, Samsung. Used to use Apple till the 3GS.

Im a bit disappointed with Xiaomi choosing SD625 soc for this phone. I read a AnTuTu score at app. 62450 wich is way to low for a new device today.
My girlfriends 2 years old redmi 4 has this score and my daughter's redmi note 4x with mtk x20 soc puts +78k .
Not to mention my OP 3t getting blazing 155k...
My Sony Z3 from 2014 is running +57000... All of these devices are like 1yold or more.
Its nice with bigger screen and more storage but they should have used SD630 or 660for Plus ver.
Just my humble opinion.

I think they are going to come up with a stylus for note model.
For redmi 5 plus I'm ok with the size and not the weight , 180g will be heavy. Processor needs an upgrade for sure. Should include ir and radio.

Battery is smaller than RN4 by just stats (4100 vs 4000) but It is even worse than RN4 because it has a big screen.
