AnonD-733290, 26 Jan 20184a has gyro sensor , and this one missing , sound like a do... moreyeah correct gyro is missing...but 'phase detection auto focus ' is there in camera. and it running 7.1.2 and miui 9 out of box. so 5a can expect oreo whereas 4a will be stuck on nougat. In short 5a is a newer device so more future proof.

Just download the recovery rom from miui site and update from phone using the updater/system update option after logging out from mi account in phone. New features include redesigned notifications, erase option in edit etc.
