    ZTE's problems with Qualcomm/US govt have scared Chinese manufacturers, so you better get used seeing more mediatek soc's in your phones. Of course they still use SD's as usual, but increasingly they want more secure soc's what are less risky when looking at risk of sanctions... be it because trade wars or something else.

    Mediatek is also slowly getting their act together and sooner than later most of their cheap soc's are less than 12nm therefore offering better battery life, etc. Competition is a good thing.

        I liked redmi 3 and 4 because they had 4000mAh battery... 3000mAh is reason I am not willing to buy it...

          Try to compare between Redmi 5 and Redmi Note 5.
          It's just a little different spec between them.
          So they must be aware about this and want to make more gap between Redmi Note and Redmi lines..
          And still, Xiaomi is the best Phone with best spec and best price among similar smartphone with same spec..

            Its not that bad and a low price.
            120 eur for a 3GB ram and 32GB disksopace is awesome deal.
            Please show me a Sony LG HTC Samsung which offers 32GB disk space and 3GB ram phone for 120 eur :-)

                The Name Of This Device Should Be Redmi 6A Plus

                    I think, if they really want to use mediatek chip,
                    then Helio P60 could be a far better option than this

                      This phone will be worse than Redmi 5. The screen quality will be worse, build quality worse, speaker worse. They have cut corners in order to add a second camera for the same price.

                                  Seems like xiaomi is going even harder in the budget route, hope there will be a redmi 6 plus that has at least a snapdragon processor.

                                    Redmi 3 294 ppi, Redmi 4 294 ppi, Redmi 5 282 ppi, Redmi 6 295 ppi, all at 720 pixels across. Looks like Redmi 5 was the big oddball.

                                      Screen size not big enough for its dimensions of 147.5. Battery is low, chipset uses very very old a53 cores, now new a55 cores are avaiable. 3gb 32gb and will cost 150 euro at least in europe. Old usb . Camera is bad. Gpu is bad for games and not optimized. Not for me. Buy only for secondery phone backup.

                                        Is the ram LPDDR3/LPDDR4X? because Helio p22 supports both.But I don't think they didn't use DDR4x,BTW,why the front LED flash missing?I think most people will agree that Redmi 5 is still better than this.Atleast,they could use 5.7 or 5.8 inch larger screen.Maybe,they will also make big devices,when they see the iPhone X plus coming with 6.5 inch.xeromi.
