sold Note 8, 17 Jan 2020Does this fon has the same problem with outgoing Viber call... moreThere is no problem with, mic on Redmi 8/Note 8 series, problem is with Viber app, but there is simple solution, you need to uninstall Viber, and install older version of the same app (via web just search Viber 10, or 11.version.apk). Then, if you want you can update Viber app via Play Store to latest version (btw, with ads in Viber app), and stil, it will work normal (mic for outgoing calls).

Redmi 8 series phones are really good.. In our family,, Redmi 8, Note 8 & Redmi Note 8 Pro are being used.. These are really cool... I love Xiomi..

I can't catch 5ghz wifi band. Did anyone else managed to do so, or the device lacks 5ghz? Thought wifi n is 5ghz. Mistake?

I think the phone is fairly alright. Stop whining , you get what for you paid for. Don’t expect to buy a Toyota and wants it to run just like a Ferrari.

If it is fast charging compatible then atleast 1 percent charge for 1 minute of time but infact it is not

The battery endurance ia good enough, no need to fast charge as it can last almost one full day with heavy use. Not recommended for heavy games or main phone.

From the specification of Redmi 8, it is... moreWell, is not almost, with charger that came in the box 2a, from 0 to 100% it takes around 2:50h, because, after 90% od battery, charges slower, like any 'fast' charge, so if with 18w =3a, battery goes from 0-100% in 2:20h its a good result, after all, battery is 5000mAh
