I was bought this phone redmi 8 on dated 01-12-2019
At the time of purchase this phone I was very excited
But we did not know that we are buying a third class phone.
From next day we are facing hanging issue in this phone and till date I have visit almost 5 times in service center for the same issue but he is unable to rectify this issue.
And service center is not familiar for customers
So pl do not buy this brand mobiles. All products are very third class quality.
We suggest to every one go for vivo /oppo / moto.

Me, 02 Jan 2020Is the additional 1GB ram of the 4GB model worth the increa... moreNo it's not, really, because this phone runs on SD 439 (low end processor from Qualcomm), so 3GB is more than enough, 1GB of more does not make difference that much (on 3GB version free is about 1.8-2.1GB), but if you want Note 8 (the one with SD665), 4GB is better to chose.

Just got it for few days. Good features phone. Most games are smooth but..sound quality is bad. Camera quality also bad.

3GB RAM is enough for any heavy task, including playing PUBG on HD.
And since its chipset (SD 665) is not optimised for games like PUBG, you'll get same performance in 3GB variant as 4GB variant.
But if the price gap isn't too big, I suggest going for 4GB.
Because I've found Gcam to work differently in different RAM variants of other phones.
