This phone will be announced next week, and yea, those spec are true.. (SD439=downgrade from 632), again, (only) hd plus resolution,, again plastic back and frame, but hey, now it have 5000mah battery, and usb type c (Reemi 7 4000mah battery and micro usb).. Price will be around 110 usd (in China)

i think the redmi 8 will come with the same sd 632 or it can go further higher with an sd 636 processor. it will come with 6.23in hd+ screen ips lcd with g glass 5 protection. 32gb and 64gb internal storage with dedicated micro sd card slot. 12mp with 2mp rear cameras and with a 8mp front facing ai camera. 5000mah battery and with usb type-c with 18w fast charger support.

Redmi 7 has sd632, gsmarena shouldn't have been too hasty to put sd439 for Redmi 8 as its definitely a downgrade. I remember some leaks somewhere in Dec 2017 involving sd 640, but sd632 has been introduced later on.. Anyone who got some tips for sd632 successor? Or is it perhaps an Mtk helio p series?
