despite being not a good phone for gaming. overall spec is good enough for a cheap phone.
the minus is only with the built-in ads.

This is the first android phone I've used, and I'm absolutely blown away by the durability of this Boi. I've been an apple user my entire life, and I've never enjoyed it, especially in terms of durability. I had an iPhone 7 plus that literally suffered from motherboard damage due to me placing it too hard on the table, but this phone I've literally yeeted at many people, and they've suffered more damage than the phone, and I've also dropped this phone into a bathtub, and it still runs.
Performance wise is decent, U can get about 20 fps on genshin impact, which is a literal PC game, so U know the average performance of this game. The only problem I have is with rhythm games such as bandori as this damn thing doesn't register flicks but overall still a good phone for the $50 I paid for it.

this phone is the best phone i have,once it falls from second floor to 1st floor then i thpught it was broken but its not its actually working and it has no damages

Redmi 8 has been my survival phone ,its strong and I recommended it for engineer that doesn't know how to handle phone with care.

Dreaming, 22 Mar 2021Please, I have the redmi 8 but want to use without google o... moreSame here i agree with you i bought this phone like you in January 2020 the pros built quality is solid even though you can find it less appealing, great battery life still can get a day and half with a one charge (using it with browsing, emailing, social media and Youtube mainly) talking about the cons i find that MUI is a good android overlay but unfortunately this Redmi 8 can't handle it specially with its Snapdragon 439 processor, the phone gets slower and sluggish a lot of times and its multitasking is on average knowing that i have a version 4G/64Go definitely it won't handle any new updates from Xiaomi knowing that MUI consume more and more for that i prefer One ui of Samsung which i find better optimized beside you have no ads like Chinese competitors, personally i don't mind paying the difference next time for a mid range Samsung instead...

i hv used this almost 2 years and so far good performance. cheap but very reasonable for low budget phone. fast charging and the batery can last long almost a day w/o charge. i use the phone not so moderate so charging once a day.the storage is fine for me as a student. im glad to have this phone.

I have this phone for almost one year.
It's good when i purchased it.
But as you know it had bad build quality.
The signal and network is not so good.
And the touch screen is often not responsive.
Even when I'm chatting right now it's a little laggy.
Maybe i overused it for heavy games. But i only play the game for 2-3 week.
With all of those new updates, this phone performance can't keep up anymore.
It's still good enough for essential usage.
But for social media, games, and camera. Definitely not enough.

The worst phone I have ever used, bad battery, horrible software, useless camera, low sound....
I know it is cheap but I've used many mobiles of the same category and they are far better than this garbage , no more xiamomi for me
