I consider this the worst phone that I've owned miui sucks big time after miui 9...

I've owned the note 5 pro and down graded it to miui 9 still alive and kicking after replacing batteries

I have two redmi 9s first one downgraded to miui 11 Android 10 the second one flashed with pixel experience 10 and they are about to get battery replacements

No more xiaomis for life...

    Genius, 22 Oct 2023I've had this phone (3GB RAM/32GB STORAGE) for 3 years... moreHad a 3GB /32 GB version which was one of the biggest mistakes. The phone was slow from the beginning but bearable. After MIUI 12.5 and then with MIUI 13 its become very very slow and laggy. Instagram and Facebook took forever to start. Even factory reset can make the phone slightly better for a day or two. Finally upgraded to LOS 20 (Android 13 ) and it gave a new life to the phone. Much better and moreresponsive now and usable phone now.

      I've had this phone (3GB RAM/32GB STORAGE) for 3 years here's my experience:
      The battery degraded over time but it still lasts long enough that I don't find it annoying,
      The performance dropped over time, I'm on MIUI 13 and it lags quite badly, apps like TikTok lag badly also chrome or any other browser lags badly,
      The storage is always almost full you always have to clear cache or delete apps, I only have couple of pictures and no videos yet there's always no storage,
      Also there's problems with messenger, often the notification comes hours after someone sends you a message :(

        Redmi 9 prime was a great phone when it was launched it was a value for money phone it's processor it's overall performance was very good even its Ram but the software MIUI that is too heavy and its sucks MIUI is the reason to make the phone slow down and its cameras are not that great before using redmi 9 I used Asus zenfone Max Pro M1 it was really a great phone and it had great camera setup but compared to that redmi 9 prime is not so good and the MIUI 13 for redmi 9 prime is not optimised well it makes the phone slower and it is better not to upgrade to MIUI 13 instead of staying with MIUI 12 for MIUI 11 after updating to MIUI 13 I came back to MIUI 11 do it old interface but the performance is really great but MIUI 12 is balance between performance and interface and if you are looking for a custom ROM for redmi 9 prime most of the custom ROMs for redmi 9 prime or not well optimised I have tried a lot of custom ROMs but I found lineageos is the best custom ROM for redmi 9 prime

                      If you guys want to revive the phone, install LineageOS on this thing. It runs butter smooth and gives the phone a whole new life.

                        great phone but it has a problem with the share app icon (when i click share and choose app i choose another app)

                          The people that made this phone should never be allowed to make phone again, worst screen response I have seen from a mobile phone.

                            Worst phone ever made, MIUI 13 crashes and bug A LOT. xiaomi is just fake iPhone copy and they care only about design.

                              In January 2021, I bought my Redmi 9 32GB/3GB RAM running MIUI V11.0.8.0 QJCEUXM and DID NOT updated until two months ago.
                              I finally chose to update to V12.5.5.0 RJCEUXM using the Updater app, first I had to update to V12.0.2.0 and then to V12.5.5.0.
                              Now it looks and feels like it's another new phone, works fast&quick and runs smoothly, also battery lasts longer; plus the 0.5GB Memory extension feature.
                              Performance increased significantly as the AnTuTu score jumped from 196k to 283k, and went from being barely able to play PUBG on Low-spec Pack to running buttery smooth on HD Pack.
                              It is a good and very reliable phone for the price as I had absolutely no software, hardware or battery issues, and with the MIUI 12.5 update it really reaches its peak.

                                  Is an very good phone ....i have one for 2.5 years ...is still working nice .is rest solid... But the new update 13 not good and it have many mistakes

                                      I'm really happy that I bought this mobile. It's the best experience. Because I bought it by my own money . The best low range budget phone. Some of the feature aren't even available for many of the flagship lvl phone out there ngl. Alhamdulillah for everything

                                        it's rather bad? idk, i had this phone for 3 years and it won't charge and the battery is broken. Some Samsung and Infinix is better
