it's rather bad? idk, i had this phone for 3 years and it won't charge and the battery is broken. Some Samsung and Infinix is better

At least if it works, since it's too much for that phone forcing all apps in the background to close resetting them and moreso since the MIUI 13 update where it outright crashes it.

really good phone, FOR PRICE. had this bad boy for around 5 years now and the battery is still working damn well, chargers quick enough I think but has gotten a little bit slower. do not buy this damn phone if you want nice pictures, unless you exclusively use the front camera on "pro" settings. Selfies will not come out super duper great in my opinion and it cant support high end mobile games all that well like pubg and cod mobile. good phone for phone related activities though and uhhh yeah

This is the cell phone I currently have, it's pretty good if I recommend it to you, but it's a little bad processing games, for example, Asphalt 9 Legends, Roblox, Stumble Guys, etc... It's good.

I updated from 12.5.6 to 13.0.4....the phone went crazy...the sound on all outputs croaks and rustles...completely unintelligible....my phone is destroyed... Is there a possibility to go back to 12.5.6 MIUI? Thank you

I have lying around an old Umidigi A3 Pro from f... moreI also forgot to add, if you see the new version of Android (I suspect it's Android instead of MIUI the culprit here knowing how each new version eats more RAM) with newer MIUI on top turns the phone into a nearly unusable mess then release just MIUI without updating Android, make the update optional installing only the security patches, or better yet stop there and just release security patches.
I prefer not to imagine the nightmare that must be the MIUI 13/Android 12 combo on the Redmi 9A/C with just 2GB of RAM.

I have lying around an old Umidigi A3 Pro from from 2019 with Android Pie and 3GB RAM, that while the chipset is weak and it shows, it boots much faster than the same RAM Redmi 9 and has no problem at all multitasking.
Especially the irritating browsing Internet, going to settings to change the WiFi network, going back to the browser, and finding that it reboots.

Each MIUI increase gets worse in this phone in terms of lagging. You need so much patience and you can only really use one app at a time, you try multitask it will just freeze. Takes sooooo long to boot up like 2 mins at least.
My old android 9 3GB A53 Octa core tablet runs so much faster and better than this. I regret buying this phone it's not worth the hassle even if it was cheap.
If you can be bothered rooting and putting a difference OS on it please do.
It's just such a shame Xiaomi lack in OS dev department. They try so hard putting features out and trying to impress they ruin it. They should of kept it android 10 with security updates and as basic and light as possible and it would of been an amazing phone. I'm so disappointed in Xiaomi, they got so much potential.

So I unlocked the bootloader and installed evolution x unofficial , it works a lot smoother and the battery life is so much better .
