However if I also noticed that if get latest firmware from the manufacturer website and do a fresh install via pc, within an hour after the install the heat decreases greatly and by following day perfectly cool due to updates OS and a proper WIPE and install.

While others suggest whatever card is in there will cause lagging when it reaches almost full. Its a phone first not a pc.

Abraham david, 17 Oct 2020The worst phone ever, just one week of using this shit it l... moreOverheating? Are you using your phone while charging?
I've never heard of a phone that can charge at 18Watts and play games like PUBG at the same time without overheating (which results in lag).
To avoid throttling/overheating:
1. Don't run games or something heavy while on charging.
2. Give it 10 minutes to cool down after charging.
3. Turn off Hotspot.
4. Turn off GPS/Location.
5. Turn off Mobile Data & play games on WiFi.
6. Turn off Bluetooth.
7. Use a low watt charger.
8. Remove cover while playing games.
9. Try to find a place where it's not as hot.
10. Reduce Framerate of games.
Note:
Overheating/throttling is when Kernel restricts CPU & GPU frequencies to cool down the device.
It results in major lag in games & may cause the device to reboot or power off if temperature exceeds safe limits.

Anonymous, 17 Oct 2020awesome guidance ! could you please offer methods for runni... moreYou're welcome! 3, 32GB should be running smoothly. Are you facing any specific problem?
1. To make UI faster:
Go to Settings - About Phone, tap on Build Number 7 times to unlock Developers Options.
Then in Developer's Options, turn off Windows, Animation & Transition animation scale.
2. For smooth gaming:
(i) Use its Gaming Mode. Set it for best performance.
(ii) For PUBG, use PGT Pro or any other GFX Tool of "Trilokia Inc." with these settings. You'll get 40-50FPS:
Basic:
Resolution: 960x540 or 1024x576
Graphics: Smooth
FPS: Extreme (60FPS)
Style: Colorful
Shadow: Off
MSAA: Off
Color Format: 32 Bit
Graphics Rendering Level: Low
Objects LOD Distance: Low
Material LOD Distance: Low
Detail Mode: On & 1x
Light Effects: Off
Memory Boost: Off if using Gaming Mode, otherwise On.
Hardware-Accelerated Rendering: OpenGL 2.0
GPU Optimisation: Apply All
Save Sensitivity Settings: On
Enhance Sound Quality: Low
Simple Shaders: On
Large Display Resolution: Off
3. Close all apps from Recent Tab/List before playing games.
4. Download All in One Toolbox.
Go to its settings and disable everything, but turn on "a
Auto Boost at Screen On".
It'll close apps when you turn on your phone screen, so your phone will work smoother and also save battery.
5. Check Custom ROMs:
Xiaomi's MIUI is the heaviest Android OS. It gives lowest battery endurance & performance.
But they allow you to flash ROMs to replace it, which use less RAM and give better battery and performance among other things.
But it has to be specifically for your phone. Check Telegram & XDA forums of Redmi 9.
6. You should also install Gcam. It'll make a huge difference in camera quality.
Search on YouTube, Telegram, XDA, CynagenMod or download Gcamator app and let it install one.
