Apocryphos, 26 Jul 2020Redmi 9 is about $138 in my country, Redmi note 9 is $165. ... moreGyrosxope was bad on Redmi 7, 8, there is no reason to no be the same on Rsmi 9, they using same xomponents and sensors over and over again. And about R9 vs RN9.. Well, Note 9 have (st least) little brighter screen (R9 brightness is to low, even for budget device), also N9 have hole punch, and R9 is sruck with notch. Lastly, N9 have 22.5w charger in the box (but it is slow charging anyway, because of MtK), and R9 just 10w charger.. So, my opinion is, Note 9 3/64GB is better phone than Redmi 9 4/64, for almost same price, if you can get 4/128GB Note 9 that will be even better.. Or if you can find Note 9s for similar price, really, it is better phone than those two, from battery life, charging speed, brightness of the screen, to way better back camera (and video).

Redmi 9 is about $138 in my country, Redmi note 9 is $165. My question is it worth it to spend $25 more for Redmi note 9 ?
is redmi 9 virtual gyro really that bad compared to redmi note 9 ?
is there a noticeable display inferiority from redmi 9 compared to redmi note 9 ?
i see that there is no real difference in performance and i dont really care about camera. but lacks of gyro, inferior display worries me

After using the new keyboard for a few days, the lag occurred again.
But after the factory reset, it's more than a week now and my Xiaomi Redmi 9 never lag anymore with the use of Gboard.

Every year instead of improving products Xiaomi is downgrading them. At the beginning of 2019 I had purchased Redmi Note 7 for INR 9999/-. It has a SD 660 processor and very competent cameras.
In the next few weeks Redmi will launch this phone probably at the same price point (Since they have already launched Redmi Note 9 at INR 11999/-)
And in every department consumers get less. Processor G80 vs SD 660. Sub-par cameras. Plastic build.
Makes more sense to look at other brands.

The Phone has 5ghz Wifi for some reason. Some tech reviewers noticed that. Even tho this says it only has 802.11 b/g/n.

As well I think they also don�... moreOutside of India, they don't, and there is no stock MIUI dialer, and messages app, but the Google one, since mid last year, on all Xiaomi phones for global market (because of that lae is some eu countrys for call recording..), and not only Xiaomi, some other Chinese brand, also have Google stock dialer and for some reason message app (i guess you can't record call via message app, but who knows..), Yes i agree, LED is really usefull, on phones wothout AoD, at least tthere is LED on 9s, Pro.. Better than nothing, and i must say, those phones, Redmi 9, and Note 9 is just not good, sorry Xiaomi, they have bad displays, not bright enough (i guess review will say the same for R9), there is no LED, and those MediaTek SoCs is just not optimised (yet)..

My Xiaomi Redmi 9 also lag before the reset, especially when pressing the Enter button on the Gboard and the back button on the bottom of the screen.
But after the reset, the phone runs smoothly without any problems.
