Redmi 9 first live pics reveal design similar to the Redmi K30
We saw the specs of the Redmi 9 family on Monday, and now we have first live pics of what is allegedly the mightiest member of the lineup - Redmi 9. The device has three shooters positioned vertically and a fingerprint scanner right below them. There is also a fourth snapper and an LED flash on the right side.
This whole combo looks a lot like the Redmi K30 and Redmi K30i with its circular design and vertical alignments, although the camera placement with the flash and the fingerprint scanner reminisces more of the predecessor Redmi Note 8 Pro.
The Redmi 9 is pictured in two colors on the photo - Teal/Green and Violet. One of the versions has some text right next to the camera, while the other doesn’t, suggesting these might not be actual phones but just mock-ups with different colors.
Camera placement of the Redmi Note 8 ProThe leak on Weibo claims the Redmi 9 will have a Helio G80 chipset, which is slightly different than the previous set of specs, suggesting the older G70 SoC by Mediatek. However, all the other specs are in line - 6.53” screen with 1080p resolution and a quad 13 MP + 8 MP + 5 MP + 2 MP camera combination.
The battery is said to be 5,000 mAh, and if the chipset is Helio G80, it should come with 18W fast charging.

It was too good for it's price. They decided to remove the 8GB Variant and downgraded the front cam from 32 to 16MP. Then launched it as Redmi Note 9 Pro (Global)

It's being „hyped“ for its size because it has nothing else to offer. And, maybe the biggest reason, it's the cheapest one from that company.

Then why is the powerful chip in a 5 year old design being hyped cause of the compactness. 1 hand usage. C'mmon since they don't wanna take a break in releasing the big faces, let's see something different
