So when browsing on which phone to get...I saw that the Xiaomi redmi 9A came with a fingerprint sensor...but on getting the phone I was disappointed that it didn't. Aside from that, it's been really cool.

I had high hopes for the Redmi 9A when I bought it. Relatively easy to install and connecting to the internet. It has some fantastic features - double-tab the powered-off position screen to wakeup, also full-screen display without the buttons, which is a plus for any phone - also comes with a heap of apps that I may never use. Though, (yes I have a THOUGH) their are features on the Redmi 9A that's irritating me terribly, sometimes to a point where I want to break it with a hammer. EG. The Cleaner & speed booster is driving me nuts as it always, daily finds [whatever] on the phone to be removed, cleaned. Totally nuts that. Probably because I'm also continuously reminded to remove some apps because storage 32gig space is running low! I'm not allowed to remove anything that came with the phone! Totally locked down. Main storage currently on the phone is 27.4 GB used of 32gig total space. I moved all pictures and whatever else on to an SD card. The biggest disappointment with this phone is its inability in locating the Mobile Networks signal in our area. We really don't have that much of a great signal but it is good enough for most folk with Samsungs and iPhones etc. I'm looking for another phone. Think I'll get a Samsung. I've given feedback several times to the manufacturer but they do not respond. Disappointed.

If your here looking for a gaming smartphone this smartphone the Xiaomi redmi 9a can't handle games
Sadly you need to safe up money for a budget gaming smartphone (200 pound)
What you should look for is a blu g90 cheapest gaming smartphone or a older Nubia red magic gaming smartphone if you can find one price reduced

Well I did not expect much from 2GB RAM but the phone caller is too slow. And 5Ghz Radio is absent. But generally the phone is cool.

It's a great phone. The phone looks gorgeous. The display is crisp and clear. The performance is fast thanks to mediatek helio. Battery life is amazing, 2 - 3 days. The charging is fast too. If you can unlock the bootloader and flash custom rom like me, it will be so much better to use. For a $100 price range, it's definitely a must buy. Worth the money.

Excellent job Xiaomi on the phone, everything is outstanding. Sound, performance, style, everything and for the price it happens to be another 1 of my best buys. Also excellent work on the security!
Also people remember you can't compare a gaming computer to an ordinary day to day computer, the same goes with cell phones. Want something to play heavy intense games then go and buy a gaming phone and stop giving false reviews because of you thinking this phone can handle the intense games!

For those who want a cheap and simple phone, this one is perfect!
Flashed MIUI 12.5 China based on Android 11 without Gapps and with magisk and it's a perfect phone !

Donbenie, 08 Apr 2022There is nothing wrong with the phone, the only ones complai... moreYeah, I would agree. I have used the 3GB RAM version of this phone from 2021-2022 and I have no particular issues. Yes, it could be slow at times, but it's still tolerable for me. The storage is also mostly enough too.
By the way, I will say that the 2GB RAM version should only be bought if you are not going to multitask a lot or play games. If you want to have decent multitasking performance or play some not-so-demanding games, definitely buy the 3GB RAM version or even the 4GB RAM version (if it's available)

Anonymous, 31 Mar 2022Does it have finger print? And where is it located? No fingerprint reader. No NFC. No wireless charging. No USB-C. No stereo speaker. I love the simplicity!
