I got this expensive phone for $90 and I feel like I got robbed. 90$ is too much for a phone no matter what it's specs.

A phone that promises you Android 10 and 4G LTE with a 5000mAh battery and 2RAM/32ROM is certainly very attractive, especially at the price of 50,000 Nigerian Naira ($120) and card slot to enhance the ROM.

However, it seems there is a fake version of 4G LTE and this phone runs on it because my 3G phone browses faster than this 4G LTE with same sim card.

The inbuilt 32ROM is designed to lack plenty updates which the device begins to auto-install as soon as you turn data on. That shouldn't be a problem, except that when all updates are done, almost 6GB is removed from the available 23GB, meaning you have only 16GB internal space; you must now go and get an SD card.

With all that ROM challenge, the 2GB RAM is almost always having between 500 - 800 GB available, which makes you wonder what in the phone is using an entire 1.4GB even when no apps are operating.

The battery is true to its description.

The font cannot be improved on, except an entirely new launcher is downloaded, and the font and size are awful, nothing attractive about them.

The notification seems to have an everlasting problem. When you execute a task, normally a pop up notification appears beneath the screen to tell you what you have done. It mostly disappears within 2-5 seconds. In the case or Redmi 9A, you will wait for almost 5mins before the pop-up goes away. Now imagine when there were many executions, and each pop-up has to appear, that's like 3mins plus the number of apps or settings used or modified. It's very annoying.

The upload/download indicator might be reading 2MB/s on 4G LTE, but the very browser you're using, maybe UC Browser or Firefox, will be reading much less, making me to think the phone doesn't have a good reading system of its Internet consumption. Even 3G phones don't have this discrepancies.

Lastly, a phone running Android 10 could not install a fingerprint device, and its screen touch is so insensitive that you must really hit the screen before it wakes up.

If not for the battery and for the fact that I do most heavy download in the cool of the nights (when the 4G LTE doesn't fluctuate annoyingly), I would have returned the phone, cause it's not worth the money at all.

No custom phone case/cover, no earpiece attached, no screen guard, nothing so desirable...

Its not a user friendly phone, you must master the phone and love it the way it is. The best phones are flexible phones this is not one.

Am keeping mine anyway, cause I have learnt to use it as it is and improved the areas I can.
