I rarely shut down my Redmi 9T, but when i do, it takes a longtime to reboot itself. Now i have notification for the new miui 13 update which is 3.1 GB. The last patch update went well, which was only 250 MB in size. I don't know for this one. The question is: Should i stay or should I go ..........

Glen, 20 Dec 2022Xiaomi pushed the Android 12, MIUI 13 update to my Redmi 9T... morei also got the update yesterday. after finish, i tried restart one more time and so far the operation was smooth. so far, solution after you restart and it stuck at mi logo, just press power and up button and vibrate once and release. if enter recovery mode, just choose reboot system. so far, it work for me.

Xiaomi pushed the Android 12, MIUI 13 update to my Redmi 9T yesterday morning. A big 3.1GB update. I waited until midnight to run the update as the internet is slightly faster and less busy during that time. Yes the internet in my home area sucks.
The update went successfully well. No hiccups or even the much hated deadboot, fortunately. The update took about 40-ish minutes.
This is probably the last major Android OS update. We won't be getting Android 13 for this Redmi 9T, but at least we're still getting security patch update from them. Also from what I've been reading elsewhere, we will mostly be getting the upcoming MIUI 14 update. Yay.
I'm kind of glad my phone survived this long. Defying all the odds, especially the infamous deadboot problem that occured to many other fellow Redmi 9T/Poco M3 users.

I was on my laptop connected to my Redmi 9T via wireless hotspot and the phone's battery went from 90% to 62% in just few hours. Yikes... Never had this before with earlier MIUI. Before this, I could get almost whole day with only 10-15% battery usage.
I haven't got the 13 yet, but this 12.5.13 kind of power hungry on the battery with wifi/hotspot, right? At least with mine. What about yours, folks?

Don't lose hope though, yours might just be in a bad phase and not necessarily bricked.

After recent update Im having an issue about my wifi connection, auto disconnect after a certain time, then cannot find any available wifi surround me. Must reboot the phone to solve it temporarily. Current version 12.5.13

Anger , 03 Dec 2022Please any solution to deadbootAny DIY solutions doesn't really work. As far as I know, it'll just happen again if you reboot/turn off/ran out of power, or the phone itself suddenly and mysteriously turned itself off.
Here's your options:
Bring it to the shop where you bought it if it still under warranty. If you bought it online, consult with the seller online. Just make sure you still have the receipt/consignment/delivery box.
Bring it to any Xiaomi authorized SC in your region. Again if it still under warranty. This is the best option. Just bring the phone and the box.
Bring it to your local repair shop for a fix, search for a reputable one only if your warranty has expired. I have fellow Redmi 9T users who have their deadboot fixed permanently by a 3rd party repair shop. Need cash for repair service obviously.
Or just buy another phone to save yourself from all the hassle 🙄

My Redmi 9T survived another system update just now. MIUI 12.5.13. A simple 250MB 1-11-2022 security patch update. Still no deadboot, fortunately 🤭.
Probably not the latest for this device because I didn't participate the Mi Pilot program. My fellow Redmi 9T users in my region who participate already have MIUI 13 based Android 12.
