I've been using this phone for 3 years. After years of being lucky, unfortunately, I'm now facing deadboot issues. Phone can't detect battery % even though it should be charged. I can only use the phone now while connected to the charger but for only about 1min. It starts to shutdown automatically after that. Better to buy a new phone than fix this..

came here to read some reviews after 3 years just to find out yall are talking about custom roms lol.. i suppose people now use redmi 9t as an experimental phone...

my pov on using this phone tho is, it sucks.. it was only good for a year.. and this one too, had the famous motherboard issue. luckily the warranty covers it..

And Custom ROMS are not made for be 100% perfect, are more on experimental side than a trust one.

I will do it for fun, but I know there will be problems, issues, incompatibilities and errors, also I dont trust 100% on a guy that make some ROM and maybe put a backdoor or something on their Home-Made ROMS.

Even if you read developers notices and advices they say These ROMs are not made for replace original ROMS are just for enthusiasts that want made experiments on their own devices, with the warnings and problems documented by the developers.

Thats why they remark "We are not responsibles on any failure or malfunctions on your device"

Yeah, It is a good phone. Using custom rom (Currently xdroidCLO 1.9.5, Android 11). MIUI is leggy in budgets phone. But only the problem are WiFi range, Gyroscope.

After using it around 3 years, the performance dramatically became worse. Apps takes longer time to launch, and sometimes even crash without a reason. Xiaomi really need to fix it's software because it was so badly optimised. Until recently, the redmi also refused to charge properly and would stop at certain percentage. Using this phone is a nightmare around this few months until I was forced to trade in to a new phone which is a samsung.

I remember my teacher said her father's 9T cannot turn it. Even charged and cannot get in recovery mode. It's kinda "the death of black" that's many users experienced it, like hard-bricked. But days later, it got turned on and working well, i dunno how it can be happening

Additionally, if anyone still having WiFi issues of this fone make sure your storage doesn't exceed 85% or 90% e.g my fone 4/128 variant and it was having wifi issues again as the storage exceeded 105 gb. I deleted apps and transferred many other documents and fotos to my sd card. And than the WiFi issue was resolved. Idk y WiFi has any relation to storage maybe bcoz of faulty mi devices but it was fixed.

I want to update mine to MIUI 13. Is that a good idea I heard of a deadboot issue

just unlocked your bootloader and install miui 12.0.4 maybe you think I'm crazy because it's old rom version ( android 10 miui 12) but believe me , this it the best version of redmi 9t (lees features but stable and powerful, less lag and smooth ui) downgrade to this version and never update it even the update are available because more you upgrade more lag and unstable in system performance, believe me and try this :)
