In case you got "Deadboot", you could try holding or pressing the power button (basically attempting to power on) then wait for several hours (and i mean several hours), plug in the charger.

If it charges, power it on
If it doesn't, do the entire thing again

Here's an additional tip, if you missed the charge (lets say you plugged it in a computer and the charging shows up).
It is almost guaranteed to charge again in the next 5-8 hours (During that time, do not do anything to it, including pressing the power button)

It usually takes about 3 days to "revive" assuming you don't do anything to it. If you do this correctly, it takes about a day.

One thing to note, if it can't power on while charging (you see that its 1% then when you turn it on, it goes back to "Deadboot" state).
The next time you can charge it, keep holding the power button and volume down, if it goes to recovery mode. Hold the two button again to force restart, keep doing it until you think you can power on otherwise you'd go back to deadboot state again.

If you think you can power on, simply release the volume down during the Redmi Screen.

Phone glitched out completely after update to 12.5.6, rebooting constantly and freezing. Then I took out the SD card, and it seems to be working fine now. As soon as I reinsert the SD card it breaks again...

Redmi 9T is the worst phone I ever used. Just used 6months which got as birthday present and last week it was dead and never open again. The agent said the motherboard was burnt. There were many people with same complaint and agent have no choice than return money or replace another phn. So we are waiting. No money, no phn. this is totally disappointed.

          Not recommended for anyone.

The missing individual apps under more dark mode options in display settings are probably the most persistent bug in MIUI.

Why can't they fix it? 🤬

Whoever in Xiaomi that works in display settings department should've shot themselves in the foot.

bro zack, 31 Jan 2022how to solve deadboot after update from 10 to 11Sorry to disappoint you, but my Redmi 9T never had deadboot issues so I don't know how to solve for you.

But many people here suggest that if your Redmi 9T is still under warranty, bring it to your nearest service center as soon as possible. They'll fix it for you free of charge.

Some region will replace your Redmi 9T to a newer model. Some people in my region(Malaysia) got their faulty Redmi 9T replaced with Redmi 10.

Or, if you don't care about warranty anymore, just bring it to your trusted phone repair station. Explain your situation to them. Gonna need some cash though.

                  Good luck!

L1g34 , 29 Jan 2022No problems with mine updating to 12.5 MIUI (android 11)Decided to go ahead with it.
Worked out fine - took about 14 minutes to download, decrypt, install and successfully boot into the system.

Really like 12.5, Android 11 so far.
Changes seem subtle, but MIUI smoother than previous version on Android 10.

NB! for anyone still to update :
After it's finished, go into Security Status, tap on Google Play system update.
There should be a less than 1MB update which should also update the phone's Android security to 1st Dec 2021 (from 1st Sept).

I finally have 12.5.x.x (2.6 GB) ready TO download & install.

Question is whether to do it, as something as simple as booting up afterwards is problematic for some ?

Xiaomi seems to be a company filled with below par developers if they can cause so much trouble for users, such as "dead boot" at any time, or after a system upgrade.

I see there's still issues with some people regarding the latest update to 12.5 😅

Thankfully and luckily, my Redmi 9T update from 12.0.17 A10 to 12.5.6 A11 went off smoothly just under 1 hour. Or rather 30-ish minutes. Yup, I set a timer the moment I tap the "download update" button.

My deepest sympathy to those who still affected by the deadboot/bootloop/whatever plague your phone is facing.
