Sam, 11 Feb 2022Am starting to think the WiFi issue is a hardware problem, ... moreThat's weird... My Redmi 9T, SM-N976F and my laptop regularly connect to each other via wifi/portable hotspot. All 3 devices also connected to my office wifi at work.
My Redmi 9T especially, after a year using it, never had any issues with wifi. It never suddenly disconnect except when I walk far away from the router.

It's been 10 months since I've purchased this phone. I got the 12.5.8 update and i successfully updated my phone to that 12.5.8. I've never experienced the deadboot problem. So far, it's smooth. When i was using the 12.5.2 enhanced edition i faced some occasional ui lags in certain times. Like it suddenly freezes and come back to normal within 5 to 10 seconds. They haven't fix the wifi problem though. It's kinda annoying. I think i can experience some Volume downgrade from the speakers. It's not what they were when i purchased the phone. Otherwise its been working normally.

Ella, 07 Feb 2022Is it ok to update redmi 9t? My current system is miui 12.0... moreI updated without any problem. Just make your battery is charged (above 60%). And to be on a safe side, make sure that no app is running when you are about to update.
The 12.5.6 update is stable, no hiccups or bugs whatever. I've been using it for about two weeks now. The only feature that has been removed is Split Screen, but I don't miss it.
It's buttery smooth. I'm sure you'll love it.
P.S: If you experience battery drainage after updating, just wait for about a week for the update to settle down.

A few things to note as well.
For some reason, you can reboot one hour after turning on without the risk of deadboot. So if you want to update, do it after you turned on after Deadboot state.
After like 12 hours, if you reboot again. It would go back to deadboot state.
If you want to know if the phone is truly dead. Try plugging to a computer, if it recognizes it. Its still alive.

In case you got "Deadboot", you could try holding or pressing the power button (basically attempting to power on) then wait for several hours (and i mean several hours), plug in the charger.
If it charges, power it on
If it doesn't, do the entire thing again
Here's an additional tip, if you missed the charge (lets say you plugged it in a computer and the charging shows up).
It is almost guaranteed to charge again in the next 5-8 hours (During that time, do not do anything to it, including pressing the power button)
It usually takes about 3 days to "revive" assuming you don't do anything to it. If you do this correctly, it takes about a day.
One thing to note, if it can't power on while charging (you see that its 1% then when you turn it on, it goes back to "Deadboot" state).
The next time you can charge it, keep holding the power button and volume down, if it goes to recovery mode. Hold the two button again to force restart, keep doing it until you think you can power on otherwise you'd go back to deadboot state again.
If you think you can power on, simply release the volume down during the Redmi Screen.

Phone glitched out completely after update to 12.5.6, rebooting constantly and freezing. Then I took out the SD card, and it seems to be working fine now. As soon as I reinsert the SD card it breaks again...
