My mom came to me last night and told me that she couldn't open her phone. deadboot, I guess. The same thing happened to my dad's phone, too, a Poco M3. I found out that both phones have the same problem. Next time, I need to check before buying her a new phone.

Today 16/4/23 after patch of MIUi 13 my cell phone did not rebooted. It doesn't show any symptoms of power on. Phone sent to a technician who is saying that it's one of IC will be replaced i.e. common issue in this model.

I've got this phone for nearly two years and received android 12 last month or February. Today there was update to MIUI 14 and security from March. Everything works good. I'm surprised because it's budget model and my last Sony and Motorola received only one android update. Xiaomi is not that bad as many people say.

Jayjay4, 05 Apr 2023Mine just stopped working Tonight...have you fixed..if yes ... moreIf rebooting the phone didn't solve the problem, it's time to replace the sensor flex cable. Either you buy the part and replace it yourself, or bring it to your local repair shop and let them replace it for you. The small flex cable isn't really that expensive anyway.

Tt, 31 Mar 2023My fingerprint sensor is not working after update.
Not sho... moreEither something wrong with the sensor flex cable, or you may need to reboot and do a "wipe cache partition" on your Redmi 9T.
Try the 2nd one.

Two years and a month of ownership without a single problems, my Redmi 9T starting to behave strangely...
Few days ago, after getting GPSU February update(that requires reboot), my phone just went off after I tapped the restart button. It doesn't turn back on. Pressing and holding power button didn't do anything. So I guess this is what they called "deadboot" huh? The battery has about 95% left before it went down.
The next morning though, pressing and holding the power button, to my surprise, it booted up normally like nothing happened. The battery has 88% left. No faulty app, no missing here and there. Working normally as usual.
Then yesterday, I did an experiment by intentionally rebooting the phone using the power button, and guess what? It went dead, again lol. But the next day, pressing and holding the power button, it booted up like everything is just fine. The time has finally come. Before my Redmi 9T die on me, I better look for a replacement as soon as possible.
I've found one actually, and I just placed the order.

One lesson i got from buying Xiaomi phones, DO NOT EVER update! My phone wont turn on anymore after update and there's no permanent solution from manufacturers.

Nik 321, 15 Feb 2023I hate the fact that I can't block incoming calls we I... moreWeird...
The default phone app, Google Phone in my Redmi 9T does have the call blocking function. Just open the Phone app, go to settings, tap blocked numbers then enter any numbers you want to block. You can even block unidentified numbers. Mine does it's job very well. Those pesky unwanted calls from people, or spam/scam call, or adverts can't reach me anymore. You'll just get notifications if a blocked numbers trying to call you.
