Photo quality from the Redmi 9T are quite mediocre if I compare it to photos taken from my Canon DSLR obviously. It's a price vs quality of a phone. You get what you paid for. But at least in pro camera mode on the Redmi 9T, there's a RAW support option. There's flexibility in editing stage to make the photos more appealing. I'm using Adobe apps(Lightroom/Photoshop express) and Snapseed. If you're into phone photography, get some additional gears like a sturdy phone mounting and tripod. And about the video... Haven't had a chance to try it yet. Maybe just wait for team GSMArena to fully review it...
Now about the update, mine currently on MIUI 12.0.5.0 right now. How did I update it you ask? What a weird question... Go to settings and tap "About phone", tap the big "MIUI version" box and it'll check for updates automatically.

Comparing it to my vivo y11 which cheaper and year older and lesser specs playing games dont heat up, it only heats up when playing long (normal heat)
