I'm sorry, but that rear camera design is HIDEOUS! That kind of design makes Huawei Mate 30 Pro or OnePlus 7T looks much better.

IPS or OLED?
Depending on how you make judgment regarding the quality of the display. If you only care about the initial display quality when you first purchase the phone, then most users will select OLED. If you care about the overall display quality over the course of several years of ownership, then many users will choose IPS LCD.
Due to the inevitable oxidation of internal organic elements, an OLED panel typically has a lifespan of 3-5 years. Anything beyond 3rd year is in God's hands. You will typically start to notice drop in brightness, color shift, etc.
For most recently produced IPS LCD, the lifespan is 6-8 years or longer, you can typically use it well beyond 7 years without noticing any deterioration of display quality.
(It is almost impossible to adjust the OLED panel to simultaneously display "neutral-white" and "natural skin-tone". You have to choose one or the other.)

Ezzy, 14 Jan 2020This is the Pro model. This is Redmi K30-5G, not K30Pro. There will be two more models in K30 series: K30Pro and K30Pro-5G. Xiaomi is testing multiple chips. For the first time in recent history, Qualcomm flagship chip of the year may not be the favored flagship chip for Xiaomi. "The change is in the air."

I'm guessing a Pro model may perhaps follow. The specs are nice as a base model with the 765 over the 730 in the K20. But the AMOLED and pop-up camera got cut. I'm all in favour of the side-mounted FP reader; on the K20 the in-screen was kinda hit-and-miss and a bit slow.
So glad they've added MicroSD support back. I hope they bring back the IR blaster too.
There's a few areas I wish Xiaomi would improve on. USB2.0 and MTP is just too archaic now; GBs take ages at 30MB/s and lots of files take forever due to the lack of parallelism. A solution is needed. MTP is Microsoft's responsibility but USB3.0; Xiaomi should have it as standard. It might even be possible to get better transfer speeds through the integrated WiFi. It's a complete perplexing outdated bottleneck that shouldn't exist in 2020. SIM cards are also pretty archaic come to think of it; Digital SIM would be awesome too.
Stereo speakers would also be nice - this is so rare now but phones with stereo just sound so much better.
Something I'd really like to see is Xiaomi implement a read-only secondary bootloader chip with a jumper pinhole under the card slot. Their phones are popular with modders and that would make them unbrickable if there was an EDL jumper.
The only remaining thing is the frustrating contoured edges of the glass panel. It sucks for glass screen protectors. A return to all-flat screens would be a blessing.
