I really want to see a good gaming phone with a mediatek chip set to come out
Dimensity 1200 5G a good chipset for a cheaper gaming phone
sadly it just was not meant to be
The problem is Xiaomi one of the worsted brands ever to exist
They put a hole punch in the screen huge deal breaker never do this to a gaming phone
Just how bad is the bloatware and malware in this phone and the ads ?
I only buy stock android smartphones this phone i wish it was better huge let down also no fan ;:(
maybe custom rom save this phone ? but is it even worse saving from the problems ?

Please, does anyone know if it works on gamesir x2 type-c controller? I've already bought the controller, but still haven't purchased the phone for it yet, and my mind is swinging between poco f3 and redmi k40 gaming.

yamse, 13 Oct 2021I own the Redmi K20 Pro Premium Edition for 2 years now, I ... moreThe main difference is that K20 used SNAPDRAGON Cpu, while this K40 Gaming uses MediaTek, problem with MediaTek is not RAW HORSEPOWER which is equivalent with Snapdragon counterparts, the problem is the optimization for games and the optimization of the CPU itself kinda what happened years ago with AMD and Intel. Amd was at the level of power of any Intel CPU, but Amd tended to overheat and games developers optimized their games mostly for Intel + Nvidia combo than for AMD.
The same is happening in mobile for Snapdragon over Mediatek.

Better to choose snapdragon chipset why? you will be disappointed at mediatek specially when you want to use some peripherals . this phone is too peaky when it comes to controller . emulators are somehow good but not as good as snapdragon . downloading is 7/10 . battery life is 4hrs of continous use in gaming depending on graphic setting but charging phase is just half an hour. one more thing you need to have atleast a game cooler for this phone speacially on heavy games . temp is exceeding at 50c this affects the gaming performance.

What's your opini... morei got this phone and the first thing that i says is it looks like a simple phone with a trigger button on both sides. when it comes to gaming . android games are good in high and ultra but you need to have atleast an aircooler because it will affect the gaming performance because cpu temp is too high . nxt when you play emulator games like ppsspp it is not that good in emulating . i tried to play nsun3 and it went lag unlike in snapdragon. another issue is if are using gaming controller this phone is very peaky . unless you use some keymappings but again it is not good at all. overall my expectation to this phone turns to disappointment but if your just a regular gamer in adroid what i can say is it is good in other brands
