The European variant (Poco X4 GT) of this phone (Redmi K50i) have already received Android 13 with MIUI version 13.2.5.0. Fingers crossed as it should reach Indian shores within next 2 months.

That too with expanding the RAM by occupying the storage. I honestly hope they will do something about this RAM in their next MIUI 14 update.

How's the ram management in the 6/128gb version?
I heard that nearly 60 percent of the ram was always occupied. Was going to buy this and then this ram issue is making me hesitate.

This cannot be found anywhere in EU : / - Even on Google there are just 4 links, which are all outside EU. It seems this phone is not yet arrived in EU (after ~4 months?!!?!) or maybe it will never arrive. This is a bad bad thing from Xiaomi toward EU ppl : /

Our pair of Redmi K50i's have already received this offer since 1st Nov, 2022 and currently have 2.5 Gbps connectivity over 5G, with 25 Mbps download speeds. In a month JIO have improved their 5G infrastructure in our locality and hence speed is increased from initial 1 Gbps connectivity.
In 1 sec I am able to download 25MB of data, so if you have 100 apps to download over Google Playstore, it will take max 2 mins to download and install. Jio uses TRUE 5G, so true 5G speeds as of now. The real power of this phone is now unleashed with 5G.
The other factor is if in your locality JIO Fiber infrastructure is already present like ours, chances are you already have 5G. Jio Fiber provides the high speed data infrastructure which they liverages to provide 5G wireless connection.

At this price of NR 23K ($284, €290) for the 8/256 GB memory variant there is no better smartphone available in our country. It supports all the required 5G bands of India with stellar connectivity.

Rish7896, 21 Oct 2022Is screen flickering resolved after updates?In many devices Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) is used to dim the display. This is especially true for OLED displays. Users with very sensitive eyes like mine experience strain or headaches and very rarely notice the flickering.
Redmi K50i do use PWM, however, at over 50,000 Hz, the frequency is so high that even I am not affected by the flicker. I notice flickers when PWM happens below 20,000 Hz in some old AMOLED displays.
Apart for this the LCD display is excellent. When the "Standard" refresh rate setting is selected, depending on what content is running on the display the K50i will dynamically adjust its screen refresh rate to a value from 30 to 144 Hz. Xiaomi calls this feature the "7-stage Dynamic Switch display", referring to the seven available refresh rates: 30, 48, 50, 60, 90, 120 and 144 Hz.
