It does have a better main camera but slightly lower res screen and the smaller battery is a bitter pill to swallow although we do get 120watt charger to make up for it. Oh and we're stuck with the 256gb 8gb ram version in boring black

First of all you can enable Basic Google Services under "Accounts & Sync". You can then download Google Play Store which can be found online. Takes some time and effort to change the default applications but not too difficult.

Also, can anyone tell me if it makes sense to buy the 12GB version instead of the standard 8GB? I'm not a gamer, multitasking is more important to me, but, ideally, I'd also like to keep my next phone for several years without it lugging once apps get heavier. Would the extra memory help with that?

WideMike, 16 Jan 2023Why is the ultrawide camera only 8mp? 12mp would be better,... morethere are so many phones with bs camera like bro they are new phones, the ultrawide should be atleast 12-13 for 4k photo, mine has 13+8+5+2 its a redmi 9 the 8 ultrawide is ok but bad low light and its almost 4k which is kinda bad, the 5 is macro its eh the 2 is depth is ok the 13 is actualy good i zoom x10 it doesnt look perfect but i understand whats in the image it looks kinda good

For the price what we are getting is perfect deal. Xiaomi products are very good, service and support is very good. Quality is excellent. For 350 euros it's something that we shouldn't miss out if you want to buy new android phone

128... moreAgreed with your opinion. Plus it has the 8+ Gen 1, the A54 looks overpriced af compared to this. Though yes, while wireless charging may be a gimmick for most, at least for me I find it very convenient and useful.

Anyway, I think that wireless charging is a gimmick, cool? yes, but a gimmick nevertheless.
As per QHD, I think it'll just make it instantly clear of every midrange device, making all companies pressured to start pushing the feature on their cheaper phones, so if 4, 5 years from now you start seeing this more, you know who to thank.
