It does have a better main camera but slightly lower res screen and the smaller battery is a bitter pill to swallow although we do get 120watt charger to make up for it. Oh and we're stuck with the 256gb 8gb ram version in boring black

First of all you can enable Basic Google Services under "Accounts & Sync". You can then download Google Play Store which can be found online. Takes some time and effort to change the default applications but not too difficult.
