It seems Mediatek Dimensity 8300 Ultra has a serious heating issue. Do you see the heating problem in your Xiaomi Redmi K70E?

Tae, 16 Jan 2024Guys! Should I buy k70e or k70? K70 costs more 92 dollar... moreif you plan on using a custom rom, yes. if not, then no. if you want it because of the camera, it is not worth because both use omnivison sensors which are inferior to samsung and sony sensors.

K70 costs more 92 dollar. Should I add up more 92 dollar for 8 gen 2 and new camera sensor?

Was it any better or worse than your last phone & what was the call quality like ? Without a stable connection I guess it makes if difficult to use ;-)
Or do I wait for the Poco F6 (SD8/2) in May, I just hate my Pixel 6 that much I might get the X6 Pro then the F6 hahaha

It hasn't been a concern for like a decade lmao

Keeping it on all the time is definitely damaging to the display. I know some try to move the display location around in order to avoid burnout.

For your situation, I would just buy a digital alarm clock. 😁

Eric20, 06 Jan 2024Why should the display be on all the time when nobody is lo... moreFor convenience’s sake. Just like the always-on display functionality on smart bands. Or you can leave your phone’s always-on display active during the night to take peeks at it. Or several other usage scenarios.

Anyway, the point is that it’s misleading to call it that, since it is not truly always on. Other OEMs are offering it, so it’s not a huge thing to ask for, especially since it is artificially limited by Xiaomi (they have it on higher end models).

As for the screen issues, they have protection measures to prevent damage. For example, they can light up only the odd pixels, then only the even ones, switching back and forth in a checkered pattern so that no pixel stays lit up for more than a minute or so (this also saves energy).

Being an OLED panel, burn-in( technically burn-out) is an immediate concern with AOD.
