Anyway, the point is that it’s misleading to call it that, since it is not truly always on. Other OEMs are offering it, so it’s not a huge thing to ask for, especially since it is artificially limited by Xiaomi (they have it on higher end models).

As for the screen issues, they have protection measures to prevent damage. For example, they can light up only the odd pixels, then only the even ones, switching back and forth in a checkered pattern so that no pixel stays lit up for more than a minute or so (this also saves energy).

Being an OLED panel, burn-in( technically burn-out) is an immediate concern with AOD.

So, no one talk about Poco X6 Pro launch on 11 January on AliExpress?
Other thing, i think is no sense to rebrand redmi to poco since the only difference is global HyperOS Rom..
        Poco brand will disappear soon..

Anonymous, 30 Dec 2023ChinaYes, a China rom, but can easily be switched to other languages (I am using the English interface). Anyway, most pre-installed apps can be removed and Google Services Framework is built-in, so it's just like any Android phones but with a much shorter boot up time and more responsive, thanks to Xiaomi's reengineering to the system.

I am interested in the global version of this phone (Poco X6 Pro), so I ask you, owners of the Redmi K70E:

Does the Redmi K70E have a PERMANENT always-on display? Because some Xiaomi phones only have a 10-second always-on display (for example, the Poco F5).

Bought this phone from Xiaomi's official store on Taobao. Xiaomi really did a great job in perfecting their OS built upon AOSP. Here is a list of things this phone is a big upgrade from my Redmi Note 9:
                                    1. Operation is now as smooth as iPhone. Honestly, I found Redmi Note 9's MIUI 13 acceptable. But now HyperOS is just incredibly smooth.
                                    2. No more content reloading when switching apps, which happened all the time in Redmi Note 9. A difference between 12GB RAM vs 4GB.
                                    3. Gaming performance is good. Some games with very choppy flow in Redmi Note 9 run smoothly on K70E. A difference between Dimensity 8300 Ultra vs Helio G85.
                                    4. Screen with better color and details.
                                    5. Camera is defintiely a big upgrade with finer image, more realistic color and more responsive shutter. There was often a delay in the camera shutter in Redmi Note 9, which made you captured the wrong or lagged moment all the time.
                                    6. Reboot time is so much faster. Last time I went to do something else while Redmi Note 9 is booting, whereas K70E boots as fast as a modern PC.

Other things I like about this phone:
                                    1. Built-in Google Framework. I bought a tablet from China before without Google Framework installed, which created a hell for me to flash and root the tablet in order to get Google services back. But with K70E, I just need to install Google Play from Xiaomi's own app store with couple of clicks and everything is ready to go.

                                    2. All pre-install apps can be removed. I removed most Xiaomi's apps within a few minutes. (There are some you still want to keep, like the File manager).

                                    3. The Mi Mover really did a great job in transfering data, apps, WiFi and phone settings from Redmi Note 9 to K70E hassle free.

                                    Two things for improvement:
                                    1. Battery life seems to be better in Redmi Note 9 than K70E, I suspect the high-end 8300 Ultra CPU, the nicer screen and the on-screen fingerprint feature consume extra power. Still, battery life is acceptable. It lasts more than a day even with light gaming and heavy internet browsing.

                                    2. There is no wireless charging. Perhaps I am asking for too much for a phone at this price point.

The promotional price I got my K70E is RMB 2199 or USD 310. It's really a bang for buck not only on the hardware and workmanship, but also on how the hardware and the OS symphonise to bring the best user experience.

Anonymous, 14 Dec 2023does this support e-sim? or only the global version do?currently almost all chinese phones are using conventional physical sim, not esim. If you got esim and want to use it on chinese phone, you can try search 5ber on google. It can put download the esim on physical sim card.
