Anonymous, 18 Dec 2024LolUsed to be barely 1 day with small smartphone battery capacity.
Now 5000 yet it barely reaches 1 day when it should be more than 2 days.
Something doesn't seem right.
I mean it's not all due to fault of the device, but seems apps aren't optimized.

sere83, 16 Dec 2024It's not 2017, no phones have headphone jack or SD car... moreMost don't, some do.
But I'd say if the device is being sold for good price, I wouldn't mind lacking it.
Still some trend such as removing charging brick is stupid.

The “floating lens” technology in Xiaomi phones is an innovation in camera lens design that improves the quality of photos, especially in macro and portrait photography. The main idea behind this technology is the use of a floating lens that can move freely inside the lens. This movement allows for more precise focus and better adaptation to different distances and conditions.
The “floating lens” technology does not mean a direct change in focal length in the way that an optical zoom increase is achieved (for example, from 2.5x to 5x). Instead, it allows for more precise and adaptive focus within the predetermined focal length for a given lens.
When a smartphone camera has a 2.5x optical zoom lens, but claims to be able to shoot at 5x zoom “without loss of quality,” this means that a combination of hardware and software technologies are used to achieve high-quality images at 5x zoom, even though it is not achieved through optical zoom. The camera uses a high-resolution sensor (for example, 50MP). When you switch to 5x zoom, the camera crops (cuts out) the central part of the image captured by the sensor and uses it for the magnification. Thanks to the high resolution, even the cropped image contains enough pixels to be considered "high quality". This is possible because the cropped fragment retains the equivalent of 12MP (in the given example). The camera can then use image processing algorithms, such as sharpening, noise removal and HDR techniques, to compensate for any shortcomings from the cropping. 12MP is enough for a 34 x 25 cm print and this is more than a 4K TV (which is 8.3MP).
