You don't need to login any account to get "Firmware" Updates/Upgrades.
Your probably mistaking it for App Updates that is totally different & requires Google Account.

MD SHAHJAHAN , 22 Apr 2022What's wrong with that phone ?? I brought it from Sing... moreSame here, ik keeps popping up an update for 12.5.5.0, after downloading and installing it goes to the "bios screen", after a while it restarts automatically and goes to normal.
When it's normal, you see that it's the same miui version as before and after a couple of minutes it shows the same update available once again.

What's wrong with that phone ?? I brought it from Singapore 2months ago & started using 24days ago..But from 2days ago it's behaving like weirdly.. update are not done ,reboot randomly,sometimes it off without any reason..Many more of my Data are gone ....do anyone know the reason??? If u know please help cz I am facing great problem s for that

Today my phone changed some random settings by itself. wallpaper got reset, some battery settings got reset, maybe some more i still don't. Is that even legal? NATO need to impose economic sanction on xiaomi.
To Hashim, the phone randomly disables "allow playing sound" in app notification setting. The phone also randomly sets notification ringtone to NONE. Solution: Check them frequently. This phone is a scam

1 month using this phone.
It gives me the impression like "this phone is made for gaming ONLY, literally".
Basic features are totally unreliable to a point you can lose your career. I can give some examples:
1) Alarm sometimes works sometimes not. this one is a bit*h. Default alarm failed, tried google clock alarm also failed. i did update, i did all settings autostart, optimize battery, whatever still failed. i did 2 weeks google to fix this. it turns out that the alarm works if miui customization is off.
2) Call recording doesn't work. (just like the comment before this). It does work. BUT i didn't know that you need to give OK permission for 1st time "to access mic". the problem is that the OK permission window pops out several seconds after call conversation starts, at this moment your ear would be close to earpiece talking on phone, this triggers the screen to turn off and unfortunately it also close the "access mic" permision window. thus you never give the permission and recorder will never record. yeah wow
3) My phone randomly turns off the auto sync. you know what it means.
4) 5) 6) ... too lazy typing.

According to Google, this phone and other phones with Android 10 and above can no longer record calls. If you want to be able to record calls, use various and unknown brands or another os at all.
