Or to listen to your flac music collection from your device. There are no advantages of internal memory big enough to compensate the difference in capacity.

Gaben, 01 Nov 2022Still very unlikely to happen if you use a reputable brand ... moreI myself use an SD card on note 10 Pro, but I'd remove it if I had 256 internal. For data backups, I have the PC. SD cards are cheap and handy, but internal storage had so many advantages over it.

Booby, 31 Oct 2022I accept your point, but keep in mind SD cards are more pro... moreexternal storage is as important as it ever was, together with real dual-SIM like in the redmi note 10 pro. And i think it is easily explained. On my phone - i have all apps and important data on the INTERNAL storabe, and all Fotos + Videos + less important stuff on the sd card. Even if the card breaks, the essential things are still there. But the card takes much load off the internal memory - thus by recording long videos, large fotos etc. And real dualSIM is more important than many think. When going on holiday or business trip etc. one will most likely need both : an sd card becaus of taking lots of videos, and the second sim slot for the local sim of the destination country. I always considered hybrid-dual-sim as totally worthless and never understood why people accepted it. ok but i might be solo here. i also never understood why moving away from replaceable batteries was accepted. and i also don't understand why phones have to be so slim?? what is the point of slim? it falls out of your hand more easily. Thicker phones not only have better grip but can hold larger batteries. but aparantly no one wants them.
anyhow as a good compromise of all i am very very satisfied with the RN10Pro.

Booby, 30 Oct 2022With bigger internal memory SD card slot no longer needed, ... moreIt's 256GB vs 128GB + 512GB (which is the max sdxc capacity supported by Note 10 Pro), and midrange smartphones nowadays usually support 1TB memory cards. Note 12 Pro+ is a poor choice if you need storage. I know I won't be buying it as I like to listen to my music offline.

Booby, 30 Oct 2022With bigger internal memory SD card slot no longer needed,
... moreWhat makes you think expandable storage is no longer need just because of large internal storage?
What if the phone bricks, then you wouldnt be able to access important files that is saved internally & worse if the phones need to be wiped or reset. All of this will be a no issue with SD Card having them saved there, so when the phone bricks or need repair, just pop out the sd card & plug it in to another device to access the files.
Oh wait, but theres cloud storage. Guess what! Internet is not so reliable or available everywhere, worse is Data Cap & Data Corruption when the internet gets cutoff or gets lost suddenly. Good if your at home using Wifi, but travelling alot with Mobile Data aint reliable.
Dont also forget that apps are getting larger & bloated over the years & if you do alot of videos or photos your internal storage will fill up faster than you know it! So having SD Card(upto 1TB or even more) helps alot.

i will be selling my realme phone soon, and most likely next i will buy this. some of my friends have redmi 10 and 10c smartphones, and everything is working fine. it seems redmi is the most decent choice for its price range when compared to other brands.

Powerbutton is solid, the fact that phone sometimes gets warm can be viewed positive ... the heat is dissipated to the outside and does not stay in the phone. IMHO one should always update to the next higher version when offered. one day it will be forced anyway. At least on global EU - ROM there are only minor bugs, also on latest MIUI13, no problems. The only slight annoyment is still the proximity-sensor which is not always reliable, at least on my model, but i can live with that.
