Snapdragon chips price now very high with a short supply,,
Not everyone buys smartphones for heavy usage mtk is more than enough for casual gamers and reguler users. Consider this phone as media consuming then look at others at this price point

It can compete with Snapdragon in terms of battery efficiency & thermal heat but still cant beat them in GPU tho. Still their better than samsungs crappynos SoCs.

778g I think is too expensive I think, mi 11 lite 5g cost as much as poco f3 in my country. The best they can put is probably 768g which is worse than D900 which is one step down from d920. But if they didn't care about 5g they could've put 860

And 90hz option should be added in the settings. The mdk 920 have great power but it doesn't support Google camera and custom roms . But time will tell every thing

Anonymous, 20 Dec 2021sadly there won't be any snapdragon for midrange Redmi... moreit will have it, the redmi note 10 pro had it, the 9 pro had it, the 8 pro had it, the 7 pro had it and probably every globally available device from this lineup had it, and it makes sense, MediaTek chips heat up more, generally perform worse and sip up more battery; MediaTek's best chip (D1200) is on par with a factory-clock, one year old SnapDragon865, and MediaTek's midrange flagship is absolutely crushed by the chip, the myth, the legend, the 780G in *both* performance and battery efficiency, while the 920 is better at memory management, and that's about IT. There's just about no reason you'd want a MediaTek chip in your phone. and I'd be more than happy paying an extra 5-30 bucks for a better chip, that heats less, is more stable and has way better peak performance

cause MediaTek Processors is known for consuming more battery charge than Snapdragon,
only problem with Snapdragon is it more overheats than MediaTek,
else Snapdragon is superior in most comparison.

Is this available in india now

China is doing exactly the right thing by starting to use MediaTech processors. The US SnapDragon processor is an expensive and pointless choice. SnapDragon is a monster that is not needed in a phone, precisely because it can only do one thing: monstrously consume battery power. As a result, China won again. The price of the device on the market has become lower, this is the first victory. Energy consumption has become lower. this is the second victory. I find MediaTech processors the best choice because Chinese phone manufacturers have more options to optimize their devices when they use Chinese-made processors.

Also, I think that releasing firmware for different regions is a bad idea for XIAOMI. I think a single global firmware version is enough. This could help XIAOMI make its firmware better.
