Here's the thing,
No Snapdragon = No custom ROMs, No stable GCam ports, etc.
And with new Pixels you can expect the next gen GCam ports to be amazing. I've heard the size of Google Camera is upto 300 MBs now. So MTK situation is a loss for enthusiasts.

I'd say it started before the helio G90T though I do own a redmi note 8 pro and that chipset is great. I owned an umidigi F1 play a was really impressed with the helio p60. I feel like that is when I noticed a real upcurve. A lot of people associate MTO with those horrible decacore piece of junk chipsetson those cheap handsets on wish and geek.

I don't understand why xiaomi always use that useless 16MP selfi camera from 4 years in all Note series... Whether it is Pro model or ProMax model, they always use 16MP selfie camera...That's why big 'No' to Xiaomi.... :(

But the narrative has changed since the launch of the Helio G90T and Dimensity series, let's wait and see what the Dimensity 2000 has in stock,the first true flagship Soc from MediaTek. This Dimensity 920 is on par or even better than Snapdragon 855 of last two years. Almost equal to SD778G
