And keeping phone for 4 or more years its a good idea as long as you have ahrdware for that. Having a phone which after 4 years works perfectly but is unable to run even most basic games and apps is not that great.
Only flagship grade devices would benefit from 5 or more years of updates.
Problem is you end with a very updated phone but with zero hardware to run those apps.
Facebook from 2017 or so is no longer same facebook like facebook from end of 2022.
Runing even a temple run game on Galaxy S7 5 years ago and running same game now on same phone the differece will be huge.

Personaly i like to have smartphone that has 2 dedicated sim slot and a dedicated sd card slot.
I can use converter for 3.5 jack but for sd card no way, online backup service are for backup and very pricey in 3rd world countries.
Internet speed is other concern that you can't upload gigabytes files with 70-100 kilobytes upload speed.
That was 4g upload speed
When you are buying a smartphone here, you should keep it at least 4 year because you you should consider too much.

But compare this to Mi Note 10 Lite from two years ago, maybe 3 now.
Then compare the price. Notice the materials before anything.

I still have a 128MB SanDisk SD card that is still kicking to this day. If by the slim chance my SD card fails, I have a backup that is off the cloud and away from the prying eyes of the cloud hosting service. Saves me mobile data as well.

I'm from redmi no... moreUnless you aren't happy with your current phone and are willing to have at least twice the storage although it is not expandable anymore, I would. Personally, if it was working fine though, then I would keep using the current phone.

Mvn, 01 Nov 2022Is this phone worth for the upgrade? I'm from redmi no... moreNot worth it at all.
If that's all you're doing on your phone, the better SoC won't be any use to you.
Cameras on Xiaomi phones are all notoriously shitty too so no use buying for the 'better' camera. The only reasons why you would upgrade is bc your Note 9 Pro's battery was about to die, or if for whatever reason you feel like you *have* to have an OLED screen or 120W charging now (either of which features are worth 300-400 bucks).
