the battery would last 2.5 days, charging is fast with the supplied adapter, 120hz is smooth, though I didn't try to play much game, speaker are loud and no distortion at high volume, fingerprint works flawlessly. the last miui

camera aren't nothing special, 200mp isn't an upgrade to my busted huawei p30, although 1x photo are good but zooming in breaks the purpose of 200mp as the image quality is horrible (because there's some sort of overshapening), there's no lossless zoom like realme 9 pro+ does, capture 50mp then downscales it to preserve detail, its just straight crop from the pixel-binned 12mp photo. ultrawide is only useful for taking landscape picture, not a picture that require detail (just use panorama instead), it is also dark. macro camera got bit distortion otherwise its good? I didnt try it much. selfie camera is good somehow, cant compare much since I am not a person who take selfies but the hdr in selfie is really recommended.

then I return the phone, repairing the p30 is just better idea than buying a new one.

    Three out of five video comparisons i saw on Youtube people are going for the normal Pro model cameras than the Plus model because the Sony sensor on the Pro seems more tuned and have become a darling for OEM's. Would you guys agree?
    Do i save $100 or go for a "better performing" Plus model? I'm not a reviewer or a pro photographer. I just want something that is more than average and admirable device in the camera department and everyday tasks.

      Can't say whether my redmi note 12 pro plus is using a proper IR proximity sensor but it is much more responsive and better than my previous phone, poco f3.

                          Jemlim, 01 Apr 202388h is a really bad score for a mid range phone. Even A54 d... moreI guess I can go for Galaxy A34 5G which is the price range almost the same costs slightly a bit expensive than Redmi 12 Pro+.
                          But most people avoid Exynos chip due to overheating at some point such as do heavy gaming. Dimensity 1080 is less heat than Exynos 1380 in my opinion.

                            88h is a really bad score for a mid range phone. Even A54 did better despite having Exynos.

                              hows that possible pro model got 97 hours and the pro plus 88 of battery life..
                              Pro plus feels fine and having good battery

                                Its unbelievable how these phones today barely have video recorsing at 4k30 and cost like 500e while you had RN 8 Pro doing 4k30 at 180euro. Unbelievable. Who care about budget amoled screen and 120hz RR. To justify current pricing? Unbelievable. Today mobile are trash all the way.
