just got myself the 16MB/1TB Note 12 Turbo and had the tech flashing the international POCO F5 ROM & bootloader , and it work perfectly fine .. for media consumption the extra memory and storage is god send and the 7+ Gen 2 chip is very efficient , but if you want to use it for content creation , doing Vlog , plenty of Photo etc etc ... the Poco F5 Pro simply better at that ( at still relatively mid range price , though if one can shelf the money , go for the 13 Ultra or Oppo's Find X6 PRO , or similar )

Anonymous, 14 Jul 2023Just sad it doesn't sd card slot for a Note line up ph... moreWhy would you need very slow SD Card (compared to the UFS 3.1 internal memory of this phone) when the 512GBs and 1TB variants are available? It doesn't make sense. I bought the 1TB version and I'm really happy with it.. Smooth experience so far, it's my first xiaomi phone BTW.

Better, 08 Jul 2023Redmi Note 12 Turbo can root to Poco F5 firmware. They are ... moreIf you say "firmware" you are partially correct. These two phone have different bootloader. That means when you try to flash global POCO firmware, and subsequently locked the bootloader, you'll get a bricked device with bootloader locked.

I can't wait to order the 1TB 16GB version later this month, it's very strange Xiaomi doesn't want to sell the 512GB or 1TB in the Poco F5 versions of this phone globally. They would make a lot of money!!

Anonymous, 15 Jul 2023Same here, and more people want the support than don't.Can you give as a source or your claim like study with statistics that really more people want sd card slot then dont ?
I would imagine that the majority dont care for the sd card slot and dont even know do there phones support it.
I would think there is bigger problem when there is no 3.5mm jack as we have seen phones remove it and then come back with new models where they have it back. While removing SD card slot they probably wont get so much feedback from customers that they need to have it back in there newer phones especially when internal storage in phones start on like 128GB and goes up to like 1TB

I love this phone and want to upgrade to it on September from my Redmi 9T which has served me faithfully but must serve my son now. It's a pity most of you are saying it's POCO which some say is gabbage. Now which is which!? I love the specs here, IR Blaster, NFC, 3.5 mm jack, stereo speakers etc. What more do i want here, decent photos. I don't do Instagram or Magazine photos.

Anonymous, 10 Jul 2023Hi, I'm in Canada and thinking getting this cellphone ... moreChanging bands is not easy even if the phone is rooted. It might be missing the antenna itself.

it depends how you handle your things, so it won't break it easily. no matter how the glass is there is possibility that it will break. if you accidentally drop or narrow pocket .

Hi, I'm in Canada and thinking getting this cellphone (my friend would cell me nearly new condition for a fair price). The only problem is that it doesn't support the none of the 4g band my carrier ( freedom mobile) is in. However, the poco f5 does support and it does well.
I wonder if the poco f5 supports the band my carrier having, and they are just same phone in different region. Am I able to extend the band to what poco f5 supports? How can I achieve that?
