AMOLEDs use PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) to dim the display in dark environment, which can cause eye strain. Most people are unaffected by this, but some of us are. So, it is great that some companies still produce smartphones with LCD screens and decent SOCs

                      Theres basically no reason why Xiaomi limits this to 4k 30fps despite the chipset and camera supporting it, aside from money.
                      Xiaomi is being very greedy here.

This one is considerate for people with sensitive eyes when viewing smartphones with low hz pwm. I hope they keep providing ips lcd and if they want to replace lcds i hope to see at least 10,000hz pwm or better. Thanks Xiaomi for this.

                                  I mean, there are some advantages with OLED, but I don't get why people are putting off IPS so much when it's still good... WHEN it's high quality, of course.
                                  For lower quality TFT LCDs on lower end phones, yeah I can see why you'd prefer OLED at that point.

                                    No doubt that there are really good,long lasting amoled screens that doesnt hurt anything but market is overflow by cheap ones now in those more midrange/budget phones that simply are hard for your eyes(especially if you have whatever eye condition),cant hold up long term and starting to lose their peak quality not even one year of usage in a lot of cases...mines redmi note 11 is exactly that...its night and day difference beetwen when i opened from package to now(11 months later).
