fumei, 12 Oct 2024So, how should one notice missed calls, messages and notifi... moreYou can actually turn on flash to notifications it will blink two times when it receives notification and other option is always on display has animation but unfortunately always on display on low end Redmi phones is just cuple second's but ye I don't think that is big deal you can just idk click the power button or double tap to check always on display what the big deal real issue is the CPU but that's nother topic.

I have this phone since April and it is a great phone! Everyone complaining about some notification LED, come on, do you really need a notification LED blinking? Being in corporate and on so many groups, a notification LED is irrelevant! I need to check my phone regularly anyways for messages. Also I have swithched off the notification sound, becuause it is annoying to hear some sound everytime a notification comes in. For the price it is a great phone and not too expensive for the 8GB/256GB/NFC with 108MP camera! For the ones complaining about dull graphics, rather play your games on a Playstation and 8K TV, problem solved! Xiaomi is doing a great job with their phones!

Even if they made great hardware I simply wouldn't be able to recommend this to my friends & family. I can't even imagine my mom dealing with these ad pop ups. She wouldn't even know how to turn them off. Motorola & Nothing on the other hand are using stock Android which is far more convenient.

A15 is better by about 1.5 hours. But redmi has better charging so that makes up for it.

The HyperOS upgrade came yesterday. Either the results of the battery test are fake or I bought a phone which is waaayy out of standard. I drained the battery to 0%, then charged it to 100% and turned on a 12h video on Youtube in fullscreen with brightness on minimum. This phone lasted 2h 44m, but it should have finished the 12h video with a little battery charge left. Even on idle with the screen off it drains 1% every 4m 15s. Can anyone else test this?

Updated the security patch to September 2024.

It has a so-called Notification Light option, which keeps going „disabled” by itself (saying it is „not working”), and whenever I try to turn it on, it says „the service is malfunctioning”.
