It won't keep on blinking or animating. Same with Always On display - only lasts 10 seconds. You might want to try third party apps in the Play Store.

If you like customisation and a more smoother looking ui, update it.
But, battery drains faster and there might be some bugs.
If you don't mind the bugs and battery drain, i think its a pretty good idea to update

Travis, 06 Sep 2024Who here have already updated their Note 13 4G to Hyper OS?... moreFinally decided to update my phone. As per observations only:
1. Battery drains faster, around 10% faster than before.
2. Scrolling in some apps are a bit jittery or laggy. Still smooth within home and app drawer and in native apps too like Settings and Google apps. But in some social media apps, scrolling isn't as smooth as it used to. It kinda feels like 120 Hertz is pointless within these social media apps now.
I kinda regret updating it. I should have waited a few more months just case a patch comes in.

Could someone please enlighten me how should I receive notifications on this device? It has no built-on notification LED, all right, but the so-called Notification Effects don't seem to work, at all. (Apparently, Always-On Display and/or Lock Screen settings have no effect on it, either.)

Xiaomi uses pixel binning in front camera which makes 16mp camera into 4mp they should disable it in front camera. photos have less detail. and which makes front camera useless.

After using Redmi Note 13 4G for 6 months. Please find below my honest review
Performance--Average
Main Camera--Average
Front Selfie Camera--Below Average
Display--Good
Sound--Good
Pros: Nice display and sound
Main camera takes acceptable pictures in good light
Price is affordable
Cons: Laggy, SOC is old and slow
Fingerprint magnet
No OIS support on camera
Shaky video
No NFC

It's very strange. If your phone is 23124RA7E0, you will not get hyper OS, but if your phone model is 23129RAA4G ,has received hyper os . One of the models has NFC and the other does not. The model that has NFC has not yet received the Hyper update. I don't know why Xiaomi has become like this.

I recently bought a brand new Redmi 13 5G from chroma... It's worst experience ever.
1. Calls are automatically getting disconnected sometimes automatically.
2. Camera quality is not upto the mark.
3. I have been trying to fix a tempered glass issue and still seeing bubbles issues even for a new glass, almost it's fourth one.
4. Proximity sensor is not working properly.
5. They implemented options and I feel like they are useless, as when I turn them on, those give me some other problems

The Chipset(SD 685), I'm not saying it's bad, but Helio G99 is better at this price range.
MIUI - It's okay, but has alot of bloatware and Samsung's OneUI is just a far better experience

Runs a Newer version of Android (Android 14)
CONS
90 hertz refresh rate(it's good, but worse than the Redmi's 120 hertz)
25 watts charging (kind of slow compared to 33 watts)
Tear Drop notch
Big Bezels
Worse Camera(50mp main, 5mp ultra wide, 2mp macro, 13mp selfie VS 108mp main, 8mp ultra wide, 2mp macro , 16mp selfie for the Redmi)
It all comes down to preference, though. If you want a good screen and good cameras, go for the Redmi. But if you are a gamer and want good experience with the UI, Take the A15.

I bought this camera because I need its GYRO sensor for my turntable's speed reading. But I'm sad that I can not put it to sleep by double tapping. I can only use double tap to wake it up.

I don't know why it says radio is unspecified in the specs. I got this phone recently and radio is working just fine. It's working in rural areas and pretty much everywhere else. You may face some issues when driving through a tunnel.
Fingerprint sensor works a lot faster and much, much more reliable than on my Note 9s.
