I've bought the indian version worked well on MIUI but when Chinese version of HyperOS was released for this model I installed it by unlocking phone. Chinese version of HyperOS was consuming less battery than original MIU which was installed on the phone.
But when global version of HyperOS was released I've unlocked phone again and installed it. Not gonna lie, I'm not satisfied with it, because it drains battery 3-4 times faster than Chinese version of HyperOS.. very soon I will again install the Chinese version

Lasith555, 23 Apr 2024Videos played on 360p and brightness is on the medium level.It's definitely on the higher side, it shouldn't drop more than 15 to 20% in 2 hours. But nevertheless you can try these steps to reduce battery drain:
Close unnecessary background apps and also keep Whatsapp only in the apps' background auto start section, you can google it how to do this and it's easy.
Delete the apps which you don't use and are in the phone for a long time now.
Turn off Bluetooth, data connection and wifi when not in use.
** If nothing works then you need to calibrate the phone battery, you can google it how to do it and it's the most effective method and it works.
I would highly recommend to calibrate your device battery, it helps in 90% of the cases surely.

I got this device. Soon they released Xiaomi HyperOS. Which is a major fail. It is so buggy and glitchy. The battery drained fast even after restricting background activity and turning on battery mode. Turning on auto brightness and turning off wake up screen and turning off haptic feedback. Still draining faster. When I checked security - boost speed -- there seem to be apps running in the background. Even though restricting them. Too much bloatware that you can't uninstall or disable. Paid 450 for this apart from getting the freebies this device shcks massively. It's now at 380 - 405.

1- Put the phone on ultra battery saver mode before sleeping and turn it off when woken up or at least you can schedule a battery saver mode from the settings according to your sleep and wake duration then it will work automatically.
2- Re-start the phone after a couple of days
3- Switch to dark mode when indoors
4- Close unnecessary background apps and also keep Whatsapp only in the apps' background auto start section, you can google it how to do this and it's easy.
5- Delete the apps which you don't use and are in the phone for a long time now.
6- If nothing works then you need to calibrate the phone battery, you can google it how to do it and it's the most effective method and it works.
7- Turn off Bluetooth, data connection and wifi when not in use. Don't use it longer in very hot environment outdoors because it stresses more on the battery and it drains by heating more.
I have Redmi note 12 4G which has the same software more or less and these steps prevent high battery consumption on my phone.

Because video resolution plays a big role and also your brightness level, was it on the higher side or medium or low ?

if you just opened data at night time, after 8 hours of sleeping you will see buttery drain 25 to 30%. I am very disappointed
