Here my opinion after using this phone for 7 months:
1. Battery is worse. Because it's Li-Po battery, the phone will discharge it as quickly as it will charge it. You'll have to charge your phone two times in a day on a normal use.
2. Battery capacity has been significantly decreased. Third-party apps show my battery capacity is now 4100 mAh, instead of 5000.
3. Software is not mature, you'll find so many bugs. Most features are broken. You can't expect Samsung like fine tuning, even it's not even close to Realme.
4. Other than these issues, everything is great. Screen is perfect, camera is awesome, body is beautiful, no other complaints.

The global version has HyperOS.
It drains my battery quickly.
It doesn’t support eSIM.
My latest version is 1.0.1.0.

Absolutely good phone. Used for a month. So far no issues. Amazing curved display. Good battery life without update to hyperOS. Please make sure you're buying global version. Because indian version has many issues..

All people complain about proximity sensor. I got my phone from AliExpress for 244$ using coupon code. Global version, European plug. My sensor seems to work as intended, It doesn't matter if I'm standing, lying on my back or on my side, or even upside down. It works every time, I've specifically checked. The only thing I can find fault with so far is that the white color doesn't match, it's a bit cold and greenish compared to my previous IPS screen.

Anonymous, 05 Sep 2024I had the same issue but it turned out my screen protector ... moreUnless it's the same phone, the issue was the proximity sensor being a virtual one, not optical like on older or more expensive phones. Even Galaxy a55 uses virtual type.

Balli, 03 Sep 2024My Redmi Note 13 Pro+'s proximity sensor does not work... moreAlmost everyone, including Samsung, now use VIRTUAL proximity sensor on their phones. Way inferior compared to hardware based ones but I guess that, like the sd card slot, needs to go to cut costs.

Anonymous, 04 Sep 2024How does the Nothing Phone 2a, which uses the same chipset ... moreIt's Android's fault, not Xiaomi.
Most phone manufacturers pre optimise their phones. XIAOMI doesn't. After a while, like 2-3 weeks, your battery life will skyrocket.

How does the Nothing Phone 2a, which uses the same chipset as this have significantly better battery life?
Xiaomi used to be really good with battery life back in 2020-2021 with the Note 9 series, Note 10 series, Poco M3, and Redmi 9T. Where the heck did they go wrong?

My Redmi Note 13 Pro+'s proximity sensor does not work properly. When I am on a call with the phone held to my ear and another call comes in, the screen turns on, causing the first call to be put on hold, automatically switching to the second call, and sometimes muting calls. This happens frequently throughout the day, which is very frustrating. Is there really a need for the screen to turn on when the phone is held to the ear? I have noticed this issue with other Xiaomi models as well, and I am very annoyed by the proximity sensor problem. My staff is also facing the same issue, and this seems to be a problem with almost all new models of Redmi. Xiaomi keeps adding new hardware and software to their phones—can't they include a proper proximity sensor? This issue was not present in models from three years ago. I have been a loyal Redmi fan for a long time, but now we have no other option left. 🥲

jmc, 07 Aug 2024battery does not charge in 20 minutes. mine takes more than... moreit is normal, i assume you charge the phone after intense use (the phone temperature still remain)
default mode will take 30m from 10% to 100% (add several more minutes to fully/stop charging itself)
in the ideal scenario, phone temp is cool and activate fast charging mode (in the battery setting)
it will take only 19-20m just like the advertised from 10% to 100%
